Movies with doomed romance?

I've got a big of a thing for movies about doomed romance, since I often find them more realistic than movies where the couples (predictably) always end up together. Can anyone here recommend films that have doomed romance in them? So far, I can think of:

Romeo & Juliet (1968 - my favourite screen version)

Titanic

I like old and newer movies, black and white movies, musicals...anything.

Chasing Amy - I would highly recommend this one, it's got some very funny bits and is very perceptive about relationships.
