Movies which confuse and bewilder you?

THE DARK KNIGHT.

Spoiler
How can two-face think shooting batman in his armour plated stomach near the end, will kill him !!

Surely people have tried that before ! hMMMM.... How do we kill Batman ? I dno cricket bat to the groin !!!
or .........with a gun !!! TWO-FACE YOU GENIUS !!!!

...whereas 'Lost Highway' just stinks the joint out.

Lynch is a funny one, capable of making peerless stylized classics one minute and inane incoherent kerrrappp the next.

...Lost Highway, wtf......:confused::confused::confused:......(scratches head)

I don't think Donnie Darko can be understood from just the movie; it's not self-contained. However, it does a reasonably good job of suggesting that there is a meaning behind it, even if it's ill-determined.

One of the many things I disliked about The Blair Witch Project is that it seemed to put in lots of weird stuff which it never bothered to explain; the film didn't convince me that there was an explanation. It felt like it was added for atmosphere rather than as something a real witch would really do. Like DD, a lot of the back story was relegated to the website.

I've only seen the GC one. I really enjoyed Solaris, thought it was brill, by the end you know that about the spoiler above, But up to that the movie confused the hell outta me!

I recommend it. What's the russian one called?

For me it has to be a film like "Lost in Translation" that leaves you at the end wanting more, wondering what happens next for the characters. Thought it was a brilliant film otherwise just left a big gaping hole hoping it might be filled in with answers but wasn't.

Donnie Darko..... I still have NO idea what the heck was happening?
and The Return (the Sarah Michelle Gellar one) kinda confused me but I've watched it loaRABa times and I get it now :) LOL

Ok, here's my take on DD, for what it's worth :D Basically he should have died, but for some reason refused to die or was allowed to carry on. When he realised what would happen if he didn't die, he went and died :D Time travel may or may not be caught up in there somewhere :D

That's the short version :D

Jacob's Ladder

The guy was still on his army hospital bed at the end of the film, so everything that had gone on before was just a dream. Similar to 'Brazil'.
