movies this summer

'Shrek 2' and 'Spiderman 2' are the only real 'blockbusters' that I'll be seeing - might stretch to watching 'I-Robot' for some mindless fun though ;)

I also heard some people there talking about a sneak they attended of "The Notebook" (James Garner and Genna RowlanRAB) and am looking forward to this film.

Here is a preview of: thenotebookmovie
I used to serve on the Mill Valley Film Festival Board when I was in my 30's...I have enjoyed Telluride and Sun Dance Film Festivals...in years past...but I prefer these days to watch things at home.

If I want to see a film I might do Net Flicks or go to one of the many cinemas within walking distance of my house ...there are about 30.... I am not a movie junkie ...they are expensive and for the most part really terrible...I think I will enjoy The Notebook.

Bad Damndirtyape! I-robot, wont be one of those mindless movies, its written by the great.... Isaac Asimov (thats it!) its a classic science fiction story! a story that has inspired many other science fiction stories, like The Matrix!!! It looks to be a great movie!

Oh yeah, when is ThunderbirRAB coming out? i wud love to c it, some of the special effect look a little not upto scratch, but its still a movie you have to watch, if you used to watch the series!

I-robot may have been written by Isaac Asimov, but it's been turned into a movie by Hollywood staring *ahem* actor William Smith ;) ;) Still, if Alex Proyas' previous work is anything to go by it should be nicely constructed :)

ThunderbirRAB should be out around the 23rd or 24th of July 2004

Looks very much aimed at 10 year olRAB from the clips I've seen.

Talking of dubious remakes of classics, they've had most of the cast of The Stepford Wives on Letterman just recently (Christopher Walken, Bette Midler, Nicole Kidman, Matthew Broderick). Remaking a classic horror film as a comedy? Hmmmm.

I dunno - I thought that the original had its comical moments, particularly the first meeting of the Stepford Wives Association :D

I just hate to see Mathew Brodderick dig himself deeper and deeper into Hollywood Hell :(

I saw the trailer at Shrek2 this weekend. Its beginning to gain my interest, Ben Kingsley wouldnt jump in unless he was sure this time.

Or it could be the Gerry Anderson fan part of the brain kicking into action.

Mind Hunters - really enjoyed that well worth a watch
Hellboy - not bad
The Punisher - could of been better
Spartan - not bad
GoRABend - enjoyable but reminded me of something else
Spiderman 2 - very enjoyable
The Chronicles Of Riddick - mindless boll**ks - but enjoyed it - was suffering from flu at the time though

Nice list :) Thanks for that - looks as if there may be a few more films to watch this summer than I thought...

Stepford Wives - Orignial was great - remake sucks monkey balls :(
