Movies that never came to Sky Movies?

for whatever reason some movies never come to any of the Sky movies, Cinema, Film4 e.t.c

I know about James Bond I think ITV have rights to it or something but where are movies like

She hate Me
Willard
Little Black Book
The Big White

to name a few

I think a few British films like Iris and Sylvia went straight to BBC2 before they went to Sky. I'm not entirely sure, but I have noticed films like that premiering on BBC.

Of the James BonRAB, The World is Not Enough and Die Another Day are the only ones to skip Sky for ITV. I expect this to continue with Casino Royale.

Ahh I think it did.

When ITV did their very first Bond Season a few years ago they started with GoldenEye (which must have been on Sky), then they went straight through from Dr No to Tomorrow Never Dies, leaving out GoldenEye since they started with that.

Many of the 007 films have never been shown on Sky.
While Sky Movies was growing during the Bond hiatus of 1989-1995 Sky showed a small selection that included Goldfinger,Moonraker and maybe a couple of others, but most have never been on Sky.
The more recent ones cost ITV a small fortune to buy to beat Sky.
Don't know if the ad revenue made up for it.
IIRC Die Another Day was on Sky but TND and TWINE weren't.
Some of the independent films from the US and UK are more suited to Film Four and FF did show some premieres themselves.
The selection of movies on Sky is piss poor anyway.
Especially for the classics.
Sky Cinema 1 and 2 repeat films on the same day, then 2 shows the 1 schedule a day later but considering the vast library of movies out there,Sky should be ashamed of its output.
If it wasn't for the Sky+ sub I'd cancel movies

It's a case of whether it is worth Sky buying them for the number of viewers they get. Sky aren't going to buy in films that no-one will watch and they aren't going to spend ridiculous amounts to outbid ITV or FilmFour.

If the films are aimed at a more niche audince such as the ones mentioned in the OP then sky simply wont touch them.

"Nine Songs" is a FilmFour production IIRC, so that should go straight to there rather than Sky. Didn't five get a deal with a couple of film companies that gave them 1st dibs on some movies before sky like "Terminator 3"?
It's a good point though, Willard, She Hate Me etc should have been on by now. Mind you two of my favourite movies from the States 'CQ' and 'Renegade' never made it to Sky either, or any other TV channel or even DVD here in the UK. Oh the joys of American internet dvd shops!

Charlies Angels 2 was on Sky. T3 went first to five - but recently five has declared that they don't intend to buy movies anymore because they don't perform as well. But that doesn't mean the BBC, ITV or C4 are giving up on buying more movies. To be far Sky buys 99% of all movies except for the BonRAB and very very small foreign movies produced together with other Uk broadcasters - e.g Wolf Creek and the Motorcycle Diaries.

Trouble is, you're asking people to think of things they know haven't happened, which is always difficult. As another FM pointed out, Sky aren't going to buy films that no-one watched, such as the four films you mention. If no-one watched them, they won't be very well known, hence no-one will miss them if they aren't shown on Sky. Leaving aside films made by the BBC or Channel Four, which will always premier on those channels and mostly stay on those channels, I'd imagine that any film that was even moderately successful would make it to Sky.
