Movies that make men shed a tear...

Shawshank has had me in flooRAB over the year, so well done , tears of sadness for Brooksie in the middle of the film, then tears of happiness/"beautifulness" at the end, surprised not mentioned more in this thread so far, quite an obvious one. Now two less obvious ones, firstly Rocky Balboa ( the recent one) I found very powerful, battered old boxer looking back missing his wife, a bit lost etc, again same thing of tears of happiness/beautifulness at the end after some sadness in the middle ..... Finally a film that just makes yer laugh for 80 mins then hits you smack in the tear ducts, not many folk mention the end of this film, but the more I see it the more I think it's one of the most beautiful/emotional endings in film...., that film is planes, trains, and automobiles..... I cry More at that ending than anything else, Steve Martin sees behind the facade of the jovial fool and the fool finally has someone to be his true self with. Love it.

Yep! I was a student when I saw it at the cinema and there was a guy in his fifties next to me crying like a baby! ps. I was crying buckets too!!

....the Beeb have just done a top 20. I have to admit that since originally posting this thread I found parts of 'Up' and Toy Story 3 put me through the emotional grinder.....

The endings of of Forrest Gump and Schindlers List always leave me with a lump in my throat, but for actual tears it has to be ET.

I was also bawling my eyes out for about the last half an hour of Return of the King when I went to see it at the cinema, the place was empty apart from three lasses sat on the next row down from me, but it was okay as they were all in flooRAB too!

Never cry at films, never have, but then my GF says I'm a borderline sociopath and am incapable of feeling empathy. I think I just know when I'm being emotionally manipulated and my natural filters kick in telling me it's only a movie. This isn't a conscious thing, just the way I am.
