Movies that are unintentionally hilarious

Obviously a lot of the effects work doesn't hold up nearly 50years later but the final scene is one of the eeriest in all cinema.

I don't get the dissing of The Exorcist either.

I'm not a cheerleader in the Mark Kermode mould but I still think it's a stunning meditation on the nature of faith.

Street Fighter. Hilarious film. Takes some skill to miscast *every single person*, and the notion of an invisible speedboat that leaves a 40ft wake behind it is hilarious.

Apparently coming to Blu-ray shortly.

Good shout. Also, it's nice to know I'm not the only person on the planet who has seen that film. :D

Dum dum dum dum,
Dum dum dum dum,
Dum dum dum dum,
Dum dum dum dum...Flash...Aaaaaaah!!

I really want to watch it now. It sounRAB awesome. :)

Yes, it is meant to be funny. Paul Verhoeven is very good at that - Showgirls not being an example of this.

Brian "I'm going to shout everything I say, then people will think I am an actor" Blessed.

Dum dum dum dum,
Dum dum dum dum,
Dum dum dum dum,
Dum dum dum dum...Flash...Aaaaaaah!!

I honestly think we have a winner!! :D I was going to suggest Hercules In New York, but you've got it.

"Alright stop...collaborate an' listen...!"

i agree! despite the ornothologic puns its a classic chiller ...mind they will probbaly will make a remake of it one day but i bet itll be nothing to crow about !!

...with a cameo appearance by Jack Lemon...I'm no good at bird puns. :(

You're right. Every single character, apart from Zangief, was completely miscast. It was ridiculous.

The last movie I saw was High School Musical 3 which my friend dragged me and another friend along to see. I just spent the whole movie giggling at how corny it was with the friend who also got dragged along whilst the friend who actually wanted to see it kept giving us dirty looks which made us laugh even more.

Completely agree, that first scene killed me, I was in hysterics surrounded by little kiRAB. It is seriously so corny (especially when Gabriella (is that her name?) stanRAB up from the middle of a crowd to sing to her basketball player boyfriend. Laughing in the aisle, I was.)

Yeah that started us off - well actually it was Troy panting into the camera at the very start - and then we couldn't stop all the way through to the very corny jump into the air at the end.

Two more:

The Worst Witch (1986, Tim Curry)
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3

They're kiRAB movies so maybe it's not completely fair to include them, but they make me laugh far more than I'm sure is intended. The Worst Witch movie is a thing of beauty - it's just completely demented!

My OH and I watched the Da Vinci Code the other night just to see if it's really as bad as it's meant to be.

We literally laughed the WHOLE way through, especially at the end where all of Sophie's relatives just magically appear in the church and sort of stare at them REALLY creepily.

But yes, just an air of overall hilarity about the whole thing. SUCH a poor script and hammy acting, and takes itself SO seriously.

A must see :p
