Movies so bad you've walked out of the cinema.

I'm in the "paid my money, I'm staying" camp. But there were a few films that I found myself looking around the cinema in hope of finding something interesting to stare at instead:

- bridget jones 2 - one or two funny moments, but 98% bordom. One of the worst in recent times.

- As Good As it gets (oscar nominated? with Jack Nickleson) - what was the point of the film? It wasn't funny, wasn't thrilling, wasn't even romatic which I think it was supposed to be.

- Dracula (Or was it Ann Rice's Dracula - 1993 there about) - did anything actually happened in the film?
 
I walked out of Dumb and Dumberer (the sequel to Dumb and Dumber) - utter crap which is a shame, because the first film is so good.

Thats the only time I've ever walked out of a film, but I almost walked out of 'Traffic' - another crap film imo.
 
Well Underworld 2 nearly lost me yesterday, only saved by the fact that the way they tried to play it as so serious was so funny!

The sex scene was pretty graphic to and there was quite a lot of breasts on show. Quite how seeing Selene getting shafted (We saw it coming in the first one really) has any bearing on the plot is a mystery as I felt you could work out that she cared for the hybrid guy without having to see her brought to climax. Jeez. :rolleyes:
 
I've never walked out of a film and can't imagine I ever will. I don't tend to go to the cinema to watch something unless I really want to see it so there generally tenRAB to be something I like about even if it wasn't quite what I hoped for.

Strangely enough I have never seen someone walk out either. An American friend of mine says it happens all the time over there though...
 
It was a movie!!! Are you really that patriotic that you can't
bare to listen to or watch anything that potrays England badly even in a story.........unbelievable
 
I never walked out because I paid for my seat and goddamit I'm not walking out unless I get my money back. :D

But the closest was The Royal Tennenbaums which was dire. I was close to tears due to how flipping boring it was. It felt like it was 4 hours long. I was under no illusion that it would get better and low and behold it didn't.
 
I didn't say it was crap. I merely stated that it was naff. There are loaRAB of naff movies that I like. Think I have the video of it somewhere in the house actually. :o :D Daylight is a cheesefest.
 
I've never walked out of a film and I doubt I will because I've paid money to see it but the only one that I have come close was The Missing, with cate blanchett and tommy lee jones. God I want that 2 hours back! Oh and that Thirteen pile of crap, it got brilliant reviews and was dragged by my ex and it was the biggest pile of crap I've ever had the misfortune to witness, loaRAB of people walked out
I've been in cinemas a good few times where people have walked out, American Spleandour was a major one, half the cinema disappeared during it.
 
usually even when i am watching a crappy film, i watch it to the end out of mild interest in where the story will go...

BUT

"the avengers" with ralph fiennes, uma thurman and sean connery was truly, truly the most dire and uninteresting film i have ever seen. i was actually looking at the walls of the cinema more than the screen

I do wonder, as another poster did on here, what people expect when they go to see films...

I wonder about some of the peeps on here :rolleyes: ;)
 
Matrix Revolutions. At our local cinema (which is crappy anyway, large cinema prices for itchy seats and no comfort at all) and in the middle of the film they had a break, at which point my friend and I had both been yawning for a while anyway. We decided that we just wouldn't bother to go back.

Films I would like to have walked out of but managed to restrain myself (mostly because I was with someone who was too busy eyeing the supposed candy):

The Brothers Grimm (why oh why did they make that film?)
Troy (did they conveniently forget characters like Cassandra?)
Van Helsing
League of Gentlemen
Spiderman
Pride and Prejudice (they could have just released the BBC version, so much better than this absolute garbage)
 
Definately The Dead Poets Society, it's got to be the most boring film of all time. Didn't walk out but I can't remember what happened, must have been asleep.
 
I've never walked out of a film on principle. You've paid your money, why not stay to the end? It's a bit like giving up on a book halfway through, you may never know what you missed out on.

Some people need to exercise better judgement before they go to the cinema about what theyre expecting to see. I can't believe some of the names on here. The Constant Gardener!!!! It was only the best film of last year, I went to see it three times.

Having said all that, I came close recently. Two of us went to see 'In her Shoes', and there must have been about 30-40 other people in the cinema. By the end, there was only us left,and we debated for the last 3/4 of an hour wether we should go. It wasn't a terrible film, it was just so long, it really dragged on and on.

I didn't walk out, though I should have. I stayed cos I thought they must get better and couldn't be as obvious as they were. The 3 worst films I have endure in a cinema have to be sixth sense, The Village and Open water.

I would also add that James Spader in the cast list is a good indication of a dire movie.
 
As far as I can see no-one else has mentioned The Client so I'll add it to the list of contenders for shittest movie ever.

It was a second choice as another screen was full and at the point I walked out some 8 year old kid was running rings around the American justice system. Or something. I'd enjoyed The Firm and The Pelican Brief was ok but this was dreadful. Never read a Grisham, and never will.

Almost/should've walked away from Wolf, the Nicholson and Pfieffer thing about werewolves. Yaaawwwnnn. There's 2 hours of my life that I'll never get back.
 
Wow there's a few good films people have walked out of, I'm quite surprised. Guess it comes down to taste.

I've never walked out of a film yet, but I'm picky about what I go to see so I'm usually satisfied with what I see. Closest was King Kong, just because it went on for far too long and it wasn't very interesting.

EDIT: the new one, not the 1933 one, I'm not that old!!!
 
I never walk out of movies no matter how bad... i always find something worth staying for. Unless you count Pleasantville which is actually some form of psychological warfare, when I staggered out clutching my head.

(Like when - I accompanied a tourist friend to Les Miserables and had to walk out before the first intermission)
