Movies so bad you've walked out of the cinema.

Alternatively,

Sell the Tickets for Half price to the person who will leave then sell another half price ticket to the New customer.................

Oh Nibbly Bits that won't Work ??? :o

I'm Orf to Bed

Night Night XXX

I loved Moulin Rouge too. It was over-the-top, tacky, badly over acted and badly scripted.

But strangely I think it's a work of genius! :D

Ok, here goes...I am ashamed to say the only movie I ever walked out of is "Saving Private Ryan".
Me and my mate watched about 45 mins and decided that "Species II" would be a better bet.
It is a decision I now thoroughly regret although I have never gone back and attempted to watch SPR and probably should.
One hour and 18 minutes of the life my husband and I share together that we will never get back though, is from "Creep". We watched this on DVD last weekend and carried on watching in the sheer hope that perhaps the reason for the nutjob on the underground might be explained,
How wrong we were....
I also fell asleep in "The Relic" - me and my friend both woke up actually at exactly the same point hoping that we could perhaps explain to eachother what had happened... :D

I've never walked out BUT I was very very close to walking out while watching "Tank Girl" (possibly the worst film I've seen) and "The Village".

I'm surprised that you walked out of SPR considering it has one of the most dramatic openings in cinema history. Having said that, the rest of the film arguably doesn't reach such great heights, so you saw the best bits.

How many movies have you seen at the cinema that are so bad you've left the cinema before the ending?

I left twice, once for the film Naked Lunch ( the talking typewriter was the last straw), and another was a Sly Stallone film whose name I cant remember but there was a flooded subway in the storyline somewhere.

Also entitled Lord of the Rings  ......

I didn't walk out of that movie but I bloomin well wish I had. Didn't bother seeing the two sequels, already wasted 3 hours of my life!

Turned off the new Charlie and the Chocolate Factory film on a plane to New York, it was awful IMO, even Johnny Depp couldn't save it - WILLY WONKA IS MEANT TO BE ECCENTRIC NOT CREEPY!!!!!!!!!!! Phew, glad I got that off my chest!

Ok not quite the same but one film i very very nearly walked out of was Cheaper By The Dozen because it was utter crap

But luckily I got the tickets for free anyways so that was ok, but I see they have made a 2nd film

I thought Creep was enjoyable silliness. There was a sort of explanation, but they left you to fill in the details yourself.
It was to do with the underground experimentation labs, the photo of the doctor, Craig being left behind to fend for himself, etc One thing though, could they not have come up with a decent name for the baddie. Craig is hardly likely to remembered as much as Freddie Krueger or Mike Myers is it. ooooh Craig's coming to get me. Here Craig have a slap. And dont try any of your operating on me matey. Your medical credentials are highly suspect

As an aside my frienRAB and i are convinced that James Spader only does a movie if it involves / features sex or him getting off with someone,

i.e off the top of my head i can think of
Secretary
Sex,lies videotapes
crash
Supernova

as for stargate, it's implied :o .

As for the other films i've seen on this thread so far

The Village - I guessed the twist before i saw it. Don't know how but i ruined it for my brother who saw before i did.

GET OUT!

I thought Eternal Sunshine was one of the most boring films I have ever seen. I felll asleep in the cinema and then woke up and walked out. I tried it again on dvd and again it sent me to sleep and I switched the dvd off.

I know it's not really a walk-out scenario but I remember a couple of years ago, we were round some frienRAB to watch the remake of the Avengers on DVD.........we all fell asleep! (even the dog)

As for countries where they walk-out very often, I believe the NetherlanRAB is a good candidate: whilst in Amsterdam we went to see Evita and when most of the audience realised there was no dialogue half of them walked-out !!! (I think it's because their cinema tickets are dead cheap as well :D ). A couple of dutch people we talked to after the movie told us that people do that all the time: if they don't like the first 15 minutes they just leave.

Walked out of:

Moulin Rouge (half way through)
The Grinch (half way through)

Wish I'd walked out of:

Cable Guy (ha ha, so funny)
Charlie & the Chocolate Factory (wow! it's some special effects)

Wanted to walk out of at the time, but glad I didn't afterwarRAB:

The Life Aquatic (took me until the end of the film to 'get' it)

Favourite movies I saw last year:
Serenity
Batman Begins
Team America

I think the flooded subway one is Daylight. That was pretty naff. Can't believe you actually paid to see it! :D

I've never actually walked out of the cinema, because if I'd paid money to see something, I'll be damned if that money goes to waste. That doesn't mean to say that I haven't been tempted to just up and leave though. I'd say that the closest I've ever come to walking out was for The Horse Whisperer. Good lord. I want those three years of my life back!
