Movies so bad you've walked out of the cinema.

ive neve walked ut but after seeing Troy on DVD i can confidently say if id gone to the cinema to see it then id be home a couple of hours early

I went because im married and sometimes you have to do things to keep the other three quarters happy.
As far as the anti English stuff well firstly i despised the way the English were shown as thick, upper class idiots that were being nasty bastarRAB and bothering all the nice innocent Scots that never did a thing wrong. Also didnt like the way the English were shown as cowardly unlike the ever brave Scots, if you are going to do history do it properly i say.
It was just another example from Gibson of his anti English bias, think about how many films he has been in where he has been fighting an Englishman?

elephant is basically a documentary.. just showing a differant version of the columbine massacre. good film, but you have to pick the right time to watch it.

Don't ever walk out of a movie! Even if it's crap, you're letting it beat you if you walk out, and you're just adding another stroke to your idiot-tally. You're an idiot if you walk out.

I never much understood why Unforgiven was so lauded. It remains to this day the only film I've ever fallen asleep in the cinema to while watching ;)

I thought TEP was fabulously written (cos the book is a nightmare), fabulously directed, with brilliant casting, acting and photography. I love the story/stories, and I thought it all came together so fabulously and made me get caught up and get a bit lost in it...

Meh, maybe I just like quality film ;)

I wouldn't say it was like LoA at all. But that's the trouble with comparisons. Each film is individual so comparing them is a bit pointless IMO.

As for Gladiator and Ben Hur? I like them both in different ways. Ben Hur is the more exciting. Gladiator is the more enthralling.

To me anyway...

I walked out on Alien Versus Predator!! WHAT A PILE OF SH*TE!!!
Im a big fan of the Alien series, but that movie was a damned disgrace! It was unrealistic, had not real storyline and destroyed the entire history of Alien in 90 mins.

Cinema Owners sell your seats twice................

Simply promote films to people who will walk out half way through, then simply re-sell their seat !

Well escuse me for daring to walk away from something that im not enjoying!!!!!!
Why bother to sit and have my inteligence insulted when i could be either having a pint across the road or doing something else.
Its not all about being patriotic so you are unfair to pick on just that point and to attack me without bothering to take in to account everything i said is..........well unbeliievable.
Never mind, one day you might be old enough to do other things like have a pint mate. ;) ;)

I reckon that in time Elf will be seen as a Christmas classic along with films like the Snowman and Its a Wonderful Life. Its such a sweet and good-natured film and is also very funny. I like the fact they use old-fashioned methoRAB for the special effects, which make them look better in my opinion than all that shiny CGI stuff in the newer films. Yes, Elf is great. I like that scene when he meets the dwarf in the meeting. It always seems odd to me that its directed by Jon Favreau who was in that ultra-cool film Swingers. I think hes done that new one Zathura too which looks pretty good.

Buddy: SANTA! OH MY GOD! SANTA'S COMING! I KNOW HIM! I KNOW HIM!

The only one I can remember walking out of is Jackie Brown.
Oh, and Jerry Maguire but only cos I had to catch the last bus home :)
And I love Elf too!!

Apparently people have walked out of the following:

The Incredibles
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
The Talented Mr Ripley
American Splendour
Castaway

I just can't see how anyone can walk out of a cinema when they are watching such great films as these...but apparently people have. Its baffling. Well maybe it is controversial to call the last 2 great (even though I think they are) but the first 3 are cast-iron, undoubted cinematic greatness.
