Movies like "the secret garden", "princess sarah", "peter pan"?

The same production company that did "A Little Princess" and "The Secret Garden" also did "Fairy Tale: A True Story" that's pretty good, too. Of course, "The Secret Garden" and "A Little Princess" are remakes of 1930-40s films with Shirley Temple and Margaret O'Brien.

Don't forget classics like "National Velvet" with 10-year-old Elizabeth Taylor as Velvet and Mickey Rooney as her friend, the horse trainer. You'll be weeping openly as Velvet and "The Pie" do the National Steeplechase!

Ditto "The Black Stallion" with Kelly Reno as the little boy shipwrecked on an island with only "the Black" as his companion. He and the horse bond, as boys and horses might, but then return to civilization, where Mickey Rooney is a retired horse trainer who just might have one more race in him, if he can find the right horse!

BTW, I love those movies, too!

Just about every single Disney movie ever made, at least that has the Disney logo on it. Most Pixar features would fall into the same category.

If you can find it there is a great foreign film called
Ronia: The Robber's Daughter

Some great Japanese Animation:
My Neighbor Totoro
Kiki's Delivery Service
