Movies in which the villian wins?

The Empire Strikes Back -

Han Solo is an ice cube on his way to becoming a wall decoration for Jabba the Hutt.

The rebel fleet is on the run from the Imperial navy after being driven from the planet Hoth.

and Luke has had his hand cut off.

I don't know if the film 'Election' counts, but I muched prefered Matthew Brodericks character to Reese Witherspoons, so didn't like the ending at all!

Funny Games was first that came to my mind.

A few more I forgot about like Arlington Road and of course Saw (Can't believe I never thought of Saw right away) have already been mentioned.

HOW?????

I suppose in a way the villain wins in Cloverfield

In a way The Joker wins in The Dark Knight
He kills Rachel, Causes Harvey Dent to go crazy and then he dies which leaRAB Batman to go on the run with the police after him and for the whole of Gotham to believe that he has killed a few policeman and civillians and in the end The Joker still survives

The Thing
(MacReady and ChilRAB paranoid and stranded at the end, each not knowing if one another was the Thing and destined to die)

Scarface
(Sosa's hitman killing Tony)

Aliens
(technically as the Queen laid facehuggers in the Sulaco which you can hear an egg opening at the credits, causing the events which lead to Alien 3)

True

Also fine - although most of the rebel fleet got away, so I'd call it a draw.

A shame for sure, but I wouldnt classify that as a win for the the villan considering Vader's aim was to capture Luke/get him to join him. At the end of the film you can feel his frustration at Luke getting away.

The Wicker Man
Drag Me To Hell (although she was bloody annoying!!)
Cloverfield
Jennifers Body
The Astronauts Wife
Interview With The Vampire
any of the Final Destinations (death always wins in the end :p)
