Movies about Jackie Onassis? What's the best one and why so many?

Katie Homes has currently finished filming as former Jacqueline Kennedy for a TV drama on her life, which actually looks really good. I remember seeing a dvd in a library once about her life, so went on the net to see if I could find it.

But there are loaRAB!

That will give you a clue of how many!

So, what films on her life have you seen that have been accurate and good? I want to watch one as I find her a fascinating woman and thought she was very grounded and remained content in her marriage to JFK.

:)

Unfortunately, we still have to wait for an accurate portrayal of Jackie's life, all the films I've seen about her so far have been seriously lacking in all departments, but I have high hopes for the new mini series with Katie Holmes. If I had to choose from the other films I've already seen, I would say that A Woman Named Jackie was probably the best of those listed, they don't mention her miscarriage in 1955, but it goes pretty in depth into the details of her stillborn baby in 1956 and shows a bit about JFK's womanizing, I did feel like they rushed the later years and didn't show much about the death of her baby son Patrick in 1963 or her life after JFK's death. The film with Joanne Whalley Kilmer wasn't bad either, but it seemed like they tried to rush through everything. The Women of Camelot is horrible, don't even bother with that one if you want to see anything about Jackie, that one is mostly about Ethel and makes it look like Jackie barley knew her husband, you only see them together in 3 scenes. The other films are just mediocre at best and only for die hard Kennedy fans. I hope this has helped you, molybecks.

Thanks for the advice Rachel A :)

I am quite interested in her life in the aftermath of JFK's death but it's getting the right accurate movie isn't it? I don't want to watch one that's completely untrue. I'm hoping the series starring Katie Homes will be good :)

Thanks for that! that's deffo one to look out for. I really like Jackie Onassis and like you say, she was very dignified and kept her silence on the big matters :)
