Movie with the best all around cast

Even though it was a bad movie, Mars Attacks had a great cast in the film...you had Jack Nicholson, Glenn Close, Annette Benning, Natalie Portman, Pierce Brosnan, Danny DeVito, Jack Black, Martin Short, Michael J. Fox and Sarah Jessica Parker.
 
From the top of my head I would say

The Departed
Ocean's Eleven
The Godfather
As Good as It Gets
The Dark Knight
 
I thought the cast of Pearl Harbour did a really great job! I'm usually not a big Ben Affleck fan but he really nailed his performance...everyone put in a beautiful performance :sigh:
 
I agree with the Breakfast Club as having an awesome cast...probably the best cast ever for a movie that was aimed mostly at teenagers.

But as best cast, I'd go with Silence of the Lambs. Anthony Hopkins and Jodi Foster were totally awesome, and both won the best acting oscars for these roles too.

And another great cast is The Shawshank Redemption. Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman were amazing in this movie.
 
i know its an oldie, but i'll have to go with the breakfast club. an all star cast at the time, but you feel like they really are just kids you may have gone to school with.

lord of the rings was cast perfectly as well...no offense to the guy that was supposed to play aragorn but i'm glad he balked...
 
Some good ones have been mentioned and I have another to add to the list: The Royal Tennenbaums
I adore everyone in that movie : Gene Hackman, Ben Stiller, Gwenyth Paltrow, Owen and Luke Wilson, Angelica Houston, etc.
 
The Outsiders (1983) starred Patrick Swayze, Tom Cruise, Rob Lowe, C. Thomas Howell, Emilio Estevez, Matt Dillon and Diane Lane.
 
I have to agree with Cadence, Sin City had a really stellar cast. Everywhere you looked there was another star.

I also thought Garden State had a really great cast. Everyone in this movie played their part to perfection, especially Zach Braff and Natalie Portman.

i'd like to say Traffic, Love Actually, Ocean's 11, Garden State, LOTR, comes to mind....:)

Its just got a brilliant cast and features one of my favourite actresses of all time - Majandra Delfino!

Also I think pairing Julie Benz and Shannen Doherty up in Satan's School For Girls was a brilliant idea! as they rule! But I can't seem to find the movie anywhere :(

Also Scream had a great fresh new cast, Rose McGowan another of my faves lol
 
Finding Neverland , most definatly! the chemistry between all the cast was always present.. never unfaltering:)
 
I've gotta go with Lord of the Rings.

Ian Mckellan, Bernard Shaw, Sean Bean and John Rhys Davies. All brilliant and not to mention all the younger actors.
 
I would say Harry Potter, the casting is awesome. I mean I read the books and then the movies came out and they are exacting what I visualized. Especially Rupert Grint playing Ron Weasley.
 
The first movie that came to my mind is Magnolia: Julianne Moore, Melora Walters, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Jason Robards (in his last role), John C. Reilly, Tom Cruise, William H. Macy, etc. They were amazing.

Also Boogie Nights, same director (Paul Thomas Anderson), and some of the same cast.
 
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind was very awesome. Jim carey impressed the pants off of me.... well not really, but he was good!

And Confessions of a Dangerous Mind also has a good cast.
 
Pulp Fiction is the first movie that came to my mind. I absolutely love everyone that starred in that movie.......John Travolta, Samuel L Jackson, Uma Thurman, Tim Roth, Quentin Tarantino, Bruce Willis, Christopher Walken, Eric Stoltz, Ving Rhames, Rosanna Arquette and Harvey Keital. All played there characters well.
Oceans 11 and The Breakfast Club had great casts as well.
 
A League Of Their Own - everyone played their roles so wonderfully and it is such a great movie as well. :)
 
I have to say Chicago has a great ensamble cast!!

They all fit so well on their characters, specially Catherine Zeta Jones and Queen Latifah!! :thumbs_up:
