 I was just going to mention Before Sunset myself. For me it is hard to decide whether it is better then Before Sunrise or not...they're pretty much on par in every way...however, I do think that the dialogue in the sequel is slightly better. I thought some lines in the first film were a bit cliche.

So many sequels...when will it all end :thud:

My advice on The Grudge 2: I already own the Japanese version on this one (Ju-Oun 2) and it's not much different than the first one. But who knows, they might make it different in the American version

Yes those sequels were not very good. But I hope that X-Men 3 will be as good as the other two.

BTW, when you watch sequels or prequels, do you watch for continunity?

SM3 definetly is gonna rock the box office for a summer hit!
but i think it will have competition with POTC 3
I say those two are gonna be the biggest!
Spiderman has done 2x & im pretty sure it will do it again!
& IT WILL!!!!!!

Tomb Raider 3? interesting, personally i didn't care much for the other two.

Wow I just cant wait for May 2005, I liked Spiderman II and I think that The Empire strikes back was definately a great sequal, and attack of the clones was better than Phantom Menace though thats not much of an achievement since Episode one was terrible.
I liked some of the ideas in Oceans 12 it was funny, but then again it was just as bad as the first one.

Hollywood, being the unimaginative people they are (-cough- yes, I'm biased), just want the fast buck and that comes from sequels. And most of the time the sequels are a waste of money. Someone mentioned that the LotR sequels aren't counted, and I'll have to agree because they were filmed together. Other than that, the only sequel that I've watched (I heard Spider-Man 2 was better, but I didn't watch it because I hated the first one) that's on par with the original - not even talking about being better - is Before Sunset.

Is there any wonder that movie attendances are falling?

The first one was okay because of Julia stiles, but they replaced her and kept the guy who was forced to do

But the first one was already......:look:.......um, yeah, not that appealing. Ahem. :P

I thought Godfather II and Empire Strikes Back were both great sequels. Toy Story 2? T2? The last of the Indiana Jones was actually the best one of the three, I think. (Same goes for Die Hard.) Batman Returns was pretty damn good.
