Movie Remakes

When A Stranger Calls (Appartently a remake of a 1979 horror film), Miami Vice (Remake of a TV show), The Visiting, The Grudge 2 (Remake of the Japanese sequel!) and The Eye. As well as the one mentioned before there are quite a few remakes coming out in 2006!

I like the original, it's very creepy, but I do think it looks dated. So I would be interested in seeing a remake.
I wonder if they can capture the same air of menace given off by Christopher Lee as Lord Summerisle?
Is Nic Cage playing that role, or is he stepping into Edward Woodward's shoes?
 
Appartently Kate Beahan has been cast as Willow who is Nic Cage's love interest in the remake of The Wicker Man. There wasnt a love interest in the original but Kate Beahan said that "The film bears resemblance to the original and explores some of the same themes, but will be executed very differently",SounRAB very interesting!
 
The Italian job, what a terrible film it came out to be. The original was full of skill, ultimate driving and brilliant engineered cars. The new one was not even in Italy, what is with that. If you ask me it was disrespectful to make a new one after the first
 
Im looking forward to Posiedon. Its by the guy who did The Perfect Storm which i thought was very good. Im not sure about The Wicker Man. The Fog had the potential to be a good film but was totally naff.l
