Things to know:
Over the past ten years, the availability of film premiere tickets has become more restricted due to people selling them on eBay as well as film companies doing deals with sponsors who get the majority of the tickets.
Tickets tend to be by invitation only. The film companies manage this process; generally actors, celebrities, sponsers and relatives get tickets. If you know someone famous, then this is probabily the best way to get a ticket.
Sometimes, but not often, tickets go on sale. They are usually limited and expensive. You might find some on eBay, but beware fakes.
There are some groups you can sign up to (For a monthly fee) that get a load of tickets and sell them on to their members for cheaper prices. The LTRC is a good example of this.
Some premieres are hosted by charities, which sometimes sell tickets on auctions to raise money, or given them away to groups of people who the charity feels they deserve them (hospital patients or orphanages for example). MediCinema has hosted a few premieres in the past. Even when the charity does not host the premiere, a lot of tickets are given to them to raise money. Past recipiants have been Marie Curie Cancer Care and Barnados.
For every premiere, there is a competition. Search on the internet and in gossip magazines and you'll be sure to come accross a competition. PremiereHub will list as many competitions we can find on the site.
