Movie about a man whose spirit enters a vacuum cleaner

Hi guys,

Strange one, but i'm trying to find out the name of a film where a man is fixing a vacuum cleaner and gets electrocuted resulting in his spirit or personality being transfered in the vacuum cleaner. It's from the 80's, possibly late 80's

Can anyone help?

Only one I can think of is "And You Thought Your Parents Were Weird"

It's actually about a dead inventer father who's spirit comes back into a robot made by his sons, [the main body of the robot was an old vacuum cleaner IIRC]. I remember this quite fondly. I remember always getting it out on video along with Tiny Toons: How I Spent My Summer Vacation. This was the early 90's, simpler times. I do believe Channel 4 also showed this one Sunday afternoon in the early/mid 90's.

I don't think this film has made it to DVD, and quite possibly never will. :( Pity, I'd love to see it again!
