Motowheels first group buy!

Hey all,

I am trying to see how many people would be interested in doing a group buy from Motowheels on a Bi-posto Carbon Fiber tail guard.

I went to my Ducati dealer yesterday to take a look at one of these from Ducati Performance that they had in stock. I laughed right in the parts guy's face. They weave was disgusting, the finish was dull with bubbles, and there was actually a hole in the underside from where the weave was burned from something. The most disgusting part of all the price: $1995.99.

Many of you here know the quality of stuff that comes out of Motowheels so I won't bore you (search if you don't believe me). There are only a small handful of retailers who sell this item (even our own local carbon fiber god Guido does not carry it).

The average price online is between $700 to $600. If I can negotiate a group buy price somewhere in the $500's how many guys would be interested?

For some reason I cannot get the Motowheels link to work right. If you navigate to the Ducati 1098/848 carbon fiber section it is on page 3 row 2, Bi-posto tail guard.

I will try to fix the link. Sorry.

I will give this a couple of days to see the number of guys interested then take it to Motowheels to see how low he can get the price based on number of interested parties.

CF Tail section Bi-posto 848/1098/1198

These are all high quality pre-preg carbon pieces made in an autoclave by suppliers to Ducati.

They come in a natural polished finish or clear coated. It is the "plain style weave" used by Ducati.

When I get back to the shop monday, I can find out what the ETA on delivery is. We have on order for some already. We can bump up the order if we have the demand for them.
