Motorola V3x or Nokia 3250

I would go with the Motorola V3x, nice form (albeit bulky), reasonable camera, better Moto UI. I have never been that impressed by the 3250, but if you want a phone as a serious MP3 player then you will want to opt for it over the V3x.

Well, thats difficult to say. In terms of software, you can't go wrong with the Nokia sotfware...but as I said the V3x's software has been improved (although maybe not to Nokias level). In terms of camera, Nokia's cameras aren't that great...but probably better then the Moto's. As far as reception goes, both Nokia and Motorola are known for having good phones in that department.

Summary:
Design: depends what you want, but the 3250 does that sweet twisty thing
UI: I would have to say Nokia here too
for MP3 use: Nokia
Camera: could go either way on this, I have seen both good and bad pictures from Nokias and Motorolas
Reception: more likely Nokia given its history with other phones

thats as much help as I can give

i dunno about the 3250, but the v3x has VIDEO CALLING!!! call people using your video camera!!!!
and the 3250 just isnt a head turner like the v3x and the v3x has a better WOW factor!

The Nokia 3250 doesn't have video calling but that feature doesn't matter if you live in North American...because it doesn't work on our networks anyway. I find it difficult to see how a bulky flip phone has more flash than the cool swivel feature on the 3250...but to each his own I guess.

Also, I should point out that neither of these phones have GSM 850 (if this matters to you) so you're reception won't be as good...but if you spend most of your time in the city you should be fine, and the Fido network is almost completely GSM 1900.

The 3250 is also S60, which means you have a load of great 3rd party apps you can install, the moto OS is essentially a technological midget compared to Nokia S60....

That is a good phone...but keep in mind that the k618i doesn't have GSM 850...so the W810 would be a better option in that. If you want to go Nokia you might have a look at the Nokia N80.

i'm interested in the n73 is it a good phone to get

is there that much of a difference between the n73 and the nokia 3250

is the n73 also a cdma phone??

If you can afford the N73 it would be a great choice. It has a really nice screen (better than the 3250), its newer, its has a better camera and its quad-band so it will work better in Canada. Definitely a good choice.

The N73 is a GSM phone, so it will be compatible with Fido or Rogers.
