Ashy :]

Here is a way to get the Motorola Q for $99 through a pricematch. If you get it you can flash it over to cricket.

Whadda ya think?

Stolen from slickdeals...
Here's the Sprint's Moto Q: http://www1.sprintpcs.com/explore/Ph...artState=group
Yes, you can tether on this phone using http://www.junefabrics.com/pdanet/

The retail for Sprint's Motorola Q is $449.99

Here is the link to Verizon's Motorola Q for $99 http://estore.vzwshop.com/q/

Here is Inphonic's offer for new Sprint customers to get the Q for $99 after rebate http://www.inphonic.com/specialoffer...60 6ec4082a5e Maybe Sprint will match the $99 for you!

Call *2 from your Sprint phone or retentions 1866-881-9571 and tell them that you saw the commercial for Verizon. Verizon is offering the Motorola Q for $99. Verizon's web site also has the $99 offer. Ask Sprint to price match Verizon's $99.

Be nice & be patient. Persistance pays off on this deal. It is like getting the SERO. Persistance and patience is key if you are an existing Sprint customer. If you sign up for a new line, you should have no problem getting the Q for $99 or less.

Prior to calling, research whether or not you work for a company that gets a discount on Sprint phones. If so, be sure to bring up the discount to the CSR. (For instance, USPS gets 15% off phones. They may take an additional 15% off the $99) It is worth mentioning that some people have gotten the Q free when mentioning that they need a PDA type device for work.

Some customer service reps might offer it for $199 or $150. If they do, print out this rebate & send it in:http://www.sprintpcs.com/pages/mailI...vanity:rebates
Rebates apply if you have been a Sprint customer for 22 months.

I just got mine for $174 minus $100 rebate = $74. $36 activation fee waved, free shipping. (Now I am writing ecare to get the additional 15% off for my employer discount.
If they tak on the additional 15% discount, that will make it $449.99(retail) minus $67.49 (15% discount) = $382, then $382 minus $274 (retention discount) = $108. $108 minus $100 rebate = $8. Also, I am able to keep my Samsung A920 (that I got in March for free). There was no talk of having to return my A920.

You do not have to get a new line of service or add a line to take advantage of this deal.

You might be asked to extend your contract 1 or 2 years. Some have got the deal and have not extended.

You may be luckier than that!

Mr. Candid

i hear yah on the moto q. This phone does not read with anything i have ! Ive flashed tons of other phones but this q will just not read with anything! Iam working still working on it. I talked to a guy in fresno that said he has flashed a q but he flashed it many months ago. Only thing i am thinking is maybe the q's with the old firmware will read ? hmmm....anyone have any ideas

all the motorola pst's that are out will not read this phone, trust me i tryed !

Has anyone found a way to flash these? I thought that maybe if there was a way to flash the Verizon Q with the Sprint Q firmware, that would defeat the OTA PRL lock, but if I could connect to the phone to do that I could just change the PRL myself. Someone here mentioned that RSD General 4.4 could do it; does anyone know where I could find it?

Mr. Candid
Ill give you an example
take the moto Q a brand new or one thats still on verizon the MSL is allready Zero activate it on cricket and try *22804 it will go to cricket it will connect then after cricket says please hold while we program your phone about a secound later it states im sorry we were unable to program your phone at this time blah blah

well this isnt spc lock

companys are restricting OTA to work with other carriers like

Example 2

Sprints phones newer phones dial *22804 immideitly with the spc still set to the orginal no matter what it will still connect to sprint so OTA will not work. But as soon as you reset the spc to all 0's and dial *22804 it will connect to cricket and download your prl :)

Theres a lot more nowdays then just spc locks. Verizon is trying to make it so that you cant just do *22804.

I know that they have it locked. All verizon phones spc are 000000 !
I then go into the moto q service menu, under user activation and plug in everything and it still doesnt work....

Hmmm... maybe try a torrent search. I've been pretty sucessful finding 'hard-to-find' software and proprietary programs that way. Thank goodness for disgruntled employees with internet conections! ;)

correct ! but that has been know for months now......i love it when people say all you have to do is plug in the esn of the phone in crickets sys and hit *228 or *22804.....lol

the prl is locked and u HAVE to connect it to a computer ! i have never flashed a phone once that i needed to do that. I think it only refers to the really old verizon phones that u can do that

Yep,
Verizon started doing it because the widly know *22804 function so they started to send out the same version prl but this time with only a read function for OTA just like everyone else they end up getting greedy hahaha but thats ok because im not looesing business for it either :P
