Motorola Q EVDO Settings

I've been able to get a Verizon Q onto the Cricket network. Occasionally I'll see EVDO (I'm in an area where I know EVDO is up and running. I'm getting EVDO rates from an air card, and a razr).

With the EVDO syrabol showing on the Q, I make an data connection, the syrabol instantly gets pushed to 1X.

I've seen similar behaviors when I deleted the settings from the EVDO tab off of a RAZR. So, basically, it's like I don't have the HDR password set. If I go into RSD and read the EVDO tab I see that it's trying to connect to [email protected], and there's gibberish in the password slot. I believe that is a side effect of not having the right matrix file. I found one on the board that is Sprint, is the Verizon file out there?

I've tried setting up a virtual serial port, and editing via QPST but I'm getting a Winsock error there.

(On a side note, Thanks Samsungd for your MotoQ tutorial. Pretty straight forward!)

It neeRAB to be "[email protected]" with the password of cricket. So just backspace out the vzw email and password. also with the winsock thing make sure that the IP of your Q is set correctly (Use the DHCP Server address in IPconfig) and that you also turned off some of those "TEA" settings in the Serial port app. (As well as ensure Enhanced USB connections are allowed on your Q. Thats in the Settings>Connections menu

Yea, I need to edit those fielRAB to make it work, but the tools are preventing me from doing it. The two avenues I have to go about it are RSD CDMA General, and QPST.

In RSD CDMA General 4.9.9:
I know I should edit it to read mycricket.com instead of vzw3g.com, but the version of RSD general I'm working with has issues with it. I receive the "Incorrect Matrix" error. I picked up an MSU file from elsewhere on the forums and dropped it in the firmwares directory. Doesn't seem to be helping at all. I'm fairly certain that the wrong XML.MSU file for RSD, is the explaination for why I see this after I read from the phone...

Code:
Username: [email protected]
Password:

Doing a "Write to Phone" in QPST seems to have no effect.

I guess RSD is a better way to go. Anyone have access to the files needed to correct the "Incorrect Matrix" error in RSD?

Update: I pulled the msu file from the MOL2 update. That resolves the "Incorrect matrix" error in RSD.

I'm still unable to edit these fielRAB. I can read the fielRAB fine, but changes to them don't seem to take.

I updated to MOL2, to the same results.

Is it possible that these are attributes that need to be edited in the registry?

Any pointers on where HDR login settings would live?
