Motorola Phone Tools

Does anyone know if MPT or BITPIM will work for a CricKet Motorola L7C / Slvr?

I have tried both and haven't been able to get either to recognize the phone. I need to figure out a way to get my phonebook entries out of the phone. The phone has an unreadable screen and is no longer active. I took it to CricKet a while ago and they REFUSED to transfer my contacts over to my new CricKet branded phone.

When I run the program and connect my phone I get the following error:

"Failed to parse matrix file. Please contact your system administrator"

Any ideas?

Yeah, that was RSD General. I will keep trying different versions of MPT until I find something that works I guess..lol.

Thanks

P.S. If anyone knows of any other programs that would be useful for this I would greatly appreciate it.

I know your screen is broke, but have you installed the drivers for the phone? is the phone on "modem/com" in the usb settings on the phone?

When RSD works correctly, u open RSD, then plug the phone in, you'll here the USB noise connect then disconnect then reconnect again, then RSD shows all the info about your phone.

I can't see anything on the screen, but I did download the motorola usb drivers and installed them into my computer, and when I attach the usb cord to my phone I head the connect, disconnect, and reconnect noises. When I do that and run RSD, or when I run RSD and plug my phone in I still get that error message.

Now, when I try to use MPT I am getting "Comport busy" or something along that lines instead of "No phone detected".

This is getting extremely frustrating as there are contacts on this phone that I need and don't have anywhere else.

Am at a loss, any other ideas?

make sure no other programs are running that would use the com port (such as RSD). You can always change the com port as well and see if that helps. The message your getting on RSD is not really an error message so to speak as you generally do get this on newer motorolas for some reason. I have never really used RSD for this purpose, however. Hope this helps some..

I thought that CricKet phones were CDMA...am I wrong about that? I can't get any software to detect this phone no matter what I do. Any other ideas?
