aight i have finally done it....

i have cancelled my CDMA provider(telus) and am switching to Rogers.

i vowed never to go to rogers again a while back before they were GSM...

i've been stuck with crappy CDMA phones too long and i can;t stand it anymore!!

so i am going back to rogers to get a nice GSM phone..

i need some help.. i am debating between two phones...

first is the Motorola Ming.. i know these two phones are totally different ... one is a smart phone (PDA) and the other is not.. the Ming is different... it;s small .. i just don;t know very many people with it as well s reviews on the account.. i held it in my hand it;s soo nice and perfectly sized.. there is no key pad (which might be a problem for texting) and motorola usually has good volumes on their phones.. i wanted to buy a PDA so this might be a good opportunity..

the second is the Samsung D900.. this is just a REALLY REALLY REALLY nice phone!! i think it;s thinner then the RAZR for sure!! the camera is 3.0mp! and it;s a slider.. i love sliders!!

i wantd to get the best of both worlds and get the samsund i858.. but it;s not out yet..

so ..

Samsung D900:

so which one?!

i fell in love with the a1200 after seeing it at the ctia show in vegas. i bought one 2 days later. i do quite a bit of texting and that was the reason why i sold this phone. you have to use the stylus to peck out a message on the ming and that was the deal breaker for me. i am not crazy about the lack of feedback when dialing a number on the screen, but i could live with it. the camera was good and the look of the phone was great. the pda functionality is crappy, to put it mildly. the device is very slow once you sync it with outlook. moving from one day to the next in the calendar app took way too long for my liking.

i have not owned the d900, but i have used a friend's a few times. i am not a big samsung fan, but this phone is really nice. it is tiny, texting will be easy, the camera is great and it is a solid, thin slider. it is a little cheaper to buy also.

agreed with Hondaguy, the ming is not for someone who is texting a lot ... although chinese character recognition is amazing (tho most of ur friends probably use english) ... the d900 is a very smooth phone, i am not a big slider fan but I do like samsung and I have to say it's a slick phone to use. the PDA functionality on the Ming isn't the greatest, but it's not half bad IMO. there's also some decent developments going on for it, tho more in chinese than english as far as i've seen.
