Motorola Flipout Text Messaging? o_O?

My 2 years have passed with AT&T and I am now allowed a phone upgrade, I REALLY love this phone I was looking I want to upgrade to it. But one thing I found very strange is that under the AT&T features category the phone only has this under messaging:

Messaging

* IMAP, POP3, corporate (Exchange)
* Attachment document viewer
* HTML email support/composer

I find it very strange that such an advanced seeming phone wouldn't have text messaging. I watched youtube for videos of it and they showed people going to a 'messages' category but it was all stuff sending to email addresses and not numbers.

Although when I go to the motorola websites features on this rather than the AT&T I get this under the messaging section:

Messaging:

* EMAIL2
Corporate (Exchange), Gmail™, IMAP, POP3, attachment and browser document viewer (Microsoft Office® and pdf), HTML email composer
* MULTIMEDIA MESSAGING (MMS)2
* TEXT MESSAGING (SMS)2
Yes
* INSTANT MESSAGING (IM)2
Google Talk™
* VOICE MAIL
Yes

So I'm wondering if I get this phone from AT&T will it not have text messaging but it would from motorola? So it's only if you get the phone from AT&T that it won't have text messaging? I find this very odd that any phone made in this day & age wouldn't have a texting feature. I believe it will have texting because honestly what phone doesn't? But since I only get a phone once every 2 years I need to know for sure before making a commitment.

Anyone got some help here? I would like to know if this phone will indeed have texting if it is purchased through AT&T (very dumb question indeed, I apologize).

Thanks for the help!
