Motorola EM325 stuck with vodafone. Subsidy code needed!!!?

Hello,
I really need help. My 12 year son needs a mobile phone as he walks alone to and from school. My husband got a spare sim from his service provider, but the old phone I have is locked to vodafone and they want $25 for the subsidy code. I think this is really unfair as I bought the phone flat (no plan) out a couple of years ago. Vodafone Australia really likes to suck money out of you any which way they can. I also don't have the money to get it done as I am in between jobs.
Anyways could someone please help? You all sound so smart with these phones and I hope you can help me.
Here is the details of the phone:
Motorola EM325
IMEI: 352487-02-027052-9-29
Network that it was stuck with is Vodafone Australia.

Hi,you can get unlock codes fro your mobile and can get it unlocked..friend of mine got unlock code for his mobile from here Online GSM Unlock.com - Unlocking the Motorola EM325 mobile phone and got it unlocked...
