I recently switched from a Blackberry Curve to the new Motorola Droid X and am having some problems I hope you can help me with. On my BB, I could simply get on any number of free ringtone sites (www.mytinyphone.com, www.myxer.com, www.agorics.com, etc.) and download a ringtone straight to my phone and then assign it as a general ringtone or a contact specific ringtone. Now on my Droid X, I can get on these sites and download a ringtone and it show up in my music folder. About 5 minutes later though is where I encounter the problem.
After I have already assigned the ringtone I downloaded as my general or contact ringtone, when I try to just play it as an mp3 audio file, an error message comes up as says the file type is not supported even though it just played a few minutes prior. This also occurs on ringtones I download from Ringtone Apps in the Market.
Can anyone tell me what's going on or if I'm doing something wrong? Please! Thanks!
