Motorola Droid Troubleshooting !?

I have the Motorola Droid 2.1. Less than 60 day's old. When I plug it into the charger the battery icon says charging, but after a few seconds it go's to the red "x" on the battery and powers off. The little light next to the charger plug in spot isnt turning on either.

I have checked the charger. And it works fine.

Is there any other tips or suggestions to reset or fix this problem.

i dont know what kind of charger you're using, but this has happened to me before. Certain micro usb chargers do not work on the droid (i had a virgin mobile x-tc phone's charger and tried to use it and it did what your phone did). I have had no problems with any LG micro usb chargers or any motorola ones, try and see what happens if you use a different charger.
