Sorry for the dumb question but what phone do i tell Cricket i have when activating the Droid? In the past for the Q9 i remember telling them something differnt so MMS and Wap would work.

Thanks,

ok guys im getting somewhere just not where i want to be... these are my trials and tribulations...

Ok so after trying out multiple modified Autostart.sh files ive noticed:

1. my phone will send and receive mms without a autostart.sh file
2. Whiterabbits "old" cricket-droid autostart.sh file is the only one that gets my internet working.
3. Whiterabbits "new" cricket-droid autostart.sh file gives this error when i execute it through root explorer BAD ARGUMENT `6'
4. Xsylus has been helping me out (thanks bro) with these issues and after running the exact same modified autostart.sh file he has on his phone i still get no internet... when i execute it in root explorer i get an infinite "executing now" window that doesnt go away. not only that but i see my 3g internet cycling on and off about every minute or two.

can anyone help out with this? im thinking a modified version of the original "old" autostart script with the scripting telling mms how to connect deleted out will get my internet working and mms!?

should i delete my current autostart.sh and u2nl before this update?

also, this update is for a eris. I dont want to go the update.zip route on my droid right? just use his autostart.sh

I'm not even 100% sure if his update.zip is tested for Motorola Droid yet, but you can just unzip it on your computer to get his autostart.sh. It might work to apply the update.zip from recovery, but I don't know.

well this looks like the same one xsylus gave me... it just stays on "executing file" when i run it and cycles my 3g icon on and off every few minutes. i rebooted with it and internet isnt working, so back to your "old" one for now.

Yes no more editing. It ill work with the Verizon A855, as the A854 is the same thing. The model name was changed so that the Droid and the CDMA Milestone wouldnt get confused. I'm running it right now on my Verizon A855.

EDIT: The radio no longer overwrites everything before the @ so now alternative carriers like US Cellular can make us of this.

2.1 stock with no root. It can be rooted. I'm having an update.zip made for the radio because thats the critical part. It plays nice with Verizon ROMs but you'll need to modify your MMS settings of course. Also, throw this up on your website, this could simplify the process for cricket/metro.
