first off thanks for that dsolomon, secondly in regardss to the post quoted... as far as the settings and nv items. what exactly shud i pay close attention to? here's my current standing, i have talk, txt, web, even gps. however my internet seems to time out after a while (wish i had a way to toggle it on and off like with my eris) and i need to know how to fix that. then there is the issue of not having my mms, i really miss sending an recievin pix...specially while its summer :) . so i ran back through the whole process and got it all the same and still no mms and my internet still times out after a while. i can go to settings and turn my mobile net off and then back on (painfully long process) but that doesnt fix apps like my facebook and gps. to fix those i have to turn off my phone/take out the battery and start over...ouch. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have never flashed a phone before so I decided to let a "professional" do it to. My droid has been shutting off randomly and even after removing the battery it may not turn on for a while. It will do this with plenty of battery power also. Is it possible that the person who flashed my droid caused this and is there something I could look for in the settings to make sure he correctly flashed? I am considering following these directions to reflash my phone.
Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks

if it comes back that's not why it's leaving. The OS completely kills the process. I have to run the script again with Gscripte Lite or reboot the phone so that autostart.sh runs again.

Sorry i looked in that for sale section and couldnt find what i needed. Well i never got a chance to see why it stopped working, he formatted back to the stock config and told me the problems and that he couldnt get a rom to work. Now im at a desperation point to taking into the local cricket and flashing a 2.0.1 rom cause thats all the have there.

I flashed my droid using this solution and everything has been working great love the phone :)
however Im having trouble texting an AT&T number, any attempt at sending a text to that number fail, but I can text anyone else, even other AT&T numbers perfectly. Any ideas what it could be??
Thanks

This problem does not really pertain to the Device nor this thread. There are no phones that are so selective to block a single number or even a network of numbers from texting by them selves, check your account or have the recipient check their account. It's in the account.

alrighty thanks ill give cricket a call. Just one more question, when the rep asks what kind of phone I have is there a certain phone that I should tell them I have or does this not make any difference for anything??

Hey everybody, well as we all know cricket has added an android plan that is required for all android devices, if i flash it this way and take it to a non cricket associated store, will i have to purchase the android plan or can i just still use the regular unlimited talk/text/sms/mms and mobile web plan?

I would speculate that the Android plan is exclusively required if you buy Cricket's Android phone. I hope that Cricket doesn't enforce it with flashed Android smart phones like the Droid.

Hello! This is my first post here as I ran into a few problems while trying this wonderful tutorial. I have a droid I am trying to get flashed to cricket. I followed all of the steps exactly up until this point. I only have access to cdma ws 2.7 and the instructions ask me to go to an ev do tab or something like that to make sure I have a mobile and simple ip. I am stuck here. Please help!. Like an idiot I finished that process and tried to connect to wifi to download autostart from market but I do not have a connection. I can connect to my wireless network, but I can not get on line at all. Any help would be so cool!
Best regards.....AngryFatMan

you're going to need qpst since you're not using cdma ws 3.5, just go to mip tab and add cricket as the password on the "um" and "an" tabs

Looking to sell my droid soon to replace it with an evo or incredible . I want to sell it flashed for Cricket since it has a bad esn , what all will the new user need to change to make it work on their Cricket account . I plan on setting the prl back to 1040 , I know they will need to *228 it and change the apn tabs ect . Its been a while since I originally flashed it over , just trying to remember what I need to change , or if I need to get their min and mdn and edit stuff with cdma ws . Just want to make it as hassle free as possible for the new owner . Going from an N1 to a Droid , I miss the speed . Overclocked at 1250 running Froyo on the Droid was not near as good of an experience as the N1 was running at 1000mhz . Just too laggy for me , plus I would prefer to ditch the keyboard . Any help is appreciated . I might use rsd and flash it back to stock and then reflash it to Cricket on my account if I can't jog my memory .
