i got the same error, the way i fixed it was to download chmod from the market then open it type in the 0755. i couldnt find a button to save it i just hit the home key on my phone plugged in my phone and re did the commands
cd c:\android\tools
adb remount
adb push c:\android\tools\u2nl /system/bin/u2nl
adb push c:\android\tools\autostart.sh /data/opt/autostart.sh
Now:
adb shell
chmod 0755 /system/bin/u2nl
chmod 0755 /data/opt/autostart.sh
adb reboot"

after that it worked. i had been trying for about a month, and finally i have internet and mms working on my phone but for some reason my google account wont auto sync anymore.

could someone here help me get my cricket account provisioned and refreshed?

i still can't receive mms. but everything else works great (internet, send mms, gps, apps, ....)

thanks in advance guys

Thanks for the help so far. I know it's been a while since you posted here but i need your help. I have full root but do not get the # unless I use adb shell su. My questions is when I do adb remount, it says permission denied and then adb becomes unresposive. what do i do?

I posted a few days ago about picture messaaging not working. Well I have been to busy to try anything until today. I rarelly use mms but would be nice to get it working again. I tryed reflashing with everything except the rooting and the final steps in the command prompt since all this has been done to the phone already. I just wanted to see if the nv items and what not chNged inside the phone. Still cannot send mms. I tried stylus' change in the apnss proxy and still no go. Also have had cricket reset the phone.

I am thinking this has something to do with the rom I am running. I'm running bugless v0.4 on froyo. It worked fine when I was running smoked glass on 2.1.

I don't get any messages like integra gets. All mine does is say sending and that it it does nothing else.

Yea, my sister's MMS stopped working on her phone as well so it's definitely on Cricket's end but it might be the http://mms.mycricket.com/servlets/mms setting. I've been changing my APNs settings to everything I can think of. When I try to send it seems to get past my phone and then fail on Cricket's side. I wonder if anyone knows how to log the MMS data to see exactly where it's stalling. I've taken my phone to the local store and they couldn't get it working either but they say the feature is active on my account. I've read that Cricket's new line of Smartphones is coming out ~8 days from today perhaps when they are available the MMS will start working correctly on it's own again or we'll at least be able to compare settings from our phones to theirs. It's a minor inconvenience but I agree it would be nice to get it working again.

The only other thing that could be the culprit is the PRL. I don't know how new 6499 is but I've tried flashing all the latest PRLs I could find and none of them fixed the issue. Perhaps when Cricket updated their system they also updated some PRLs.

im having the exact same problem i notice today my MMS stopped working and now i have changed apns and everything to try to get it to work this was on smoke glass rom now i update to simply stunning froyo and i can only send but not receive i guess cricket is having issues..

My mms still works fine. I'm using the 4399 PRL. If you guys want to PM me your number I can have your account refreshed to see if that helps.

Seems to me that cricket has changed something in the way they are doing mms. Has anyone checked other phone models to see if they are having mms problems?

Perhaps they changed servers for mms and now the mms address is different.... I have tried everything I can find. I re flashed, changed the ip address in the autostart.sh file, re did the nv files, had cricket refresh settings.....dunno what else to try..

I just called cricket and had them refresh the picture messating again. While I had them on the line I asked them what the mms address was. They told me it was. Mynumber/[email protected]

Does this sound correct to enter into the mms field in apns?

That is kinda what I figured. That simply the string cricket routes the mms to your phone with. I notice the string cricket gave me has /type=plmn in it.......could this be the cause for not being able to receive mms?

I am using prl 6399 and mms use to work. Then it just stopped. I can not send or receive.

I just switched to the new IP yesterday. The old one worked fine I just switched it hoping it might by some off the wall chance fix mms. But both IP's work here in california.
