The 6399 prl worked for me...$40 plan cincinnati. It is the nationwide non roam from what I understand. 6499 is roam i think but not positive as I am not a dealer. I started on 4399 and could not pull above 100kbps down. Now I am 160 up and about 700 down. My CDMA ID is 4 digits, your dealer should tell you what yours is or get it from an old phone if possible. You might be ok, when I did my wife's phone I had similar issues w/ text and 3g no connectivity. I'm talking about SMS not working. The only thing I could do is make calls. The same thing happened on my phone except I was getting web. Make sure you can ping the network as stated earlier in the post and you will know if your web is active. After calling cricket like 5 times with foreign tech support on BOTH phones they just could not get it together (morons!) I called the porting line and talked to someone local and he reset everything on the account and had it up in less than 5min both times.

I pushed u2nl and autostart via adb in win xp comm and it will tell you they wrote successfully if so, otherwise you will get a command dir.
Make sure you add a space where the '*' is in the command lines below and both files are in android\tools or wherever you designation.

adb push c:\android\tools\u2nl*/system/bin/u2nl
adb push c:\android\tools\autostart.sh*/data/opt/autostart.sh

Forgive me if this is redundant, I have not looked at the post in a week or two. Thanks to all contributing once again! Wifi tether still will not work for me...just gave up until I get froyo then I'll try again:befuddled
 
OK I changed the sdma ID to 5145 which is the one only other number cricket gave me. they called it the homecid. I am still not getting web. When I ping under ping IP add. I get IP addr. not reachable and host unreachable under ping hostname. http client test I get fail IOexception. network type is cdma-evdo rev.0cdma auto prl is set. cdma network is set to 65535 under extended nam in ##program.

when I do the adb push from my pc in the command prompt. It comes back giving me like a file size and speed of transfer.
then I do the chmod and it echos the command back to me. I ran the check that xylus said to see if autostart and u2nl where working and when I ran that check it echoed the command back to me and that is it. I did not get any errors like I read baddan was getting.

I have prl 6399 in the phone now. and I get the 3G symbol. but I am still not getting any sms or web.38515 I would only get the 1x symbol. Should I call cricket and have them reset everything on my account? If so what should I tell them?
 
connect to win comm and run:

cd c:\andriod\tools
adb shell
ping wap.mycricket.com

you should go to infinity with time incrementing if web is set up properly. If that is working than I would call tech support and ask them to make sure the EVDO is set up, ask for your MIN and CDMA ID to verify you have the right info, ask them to reset everything. They wont give you a prl, I'm working fine on 6399. If all is not well then call the porting line and act pissed and tell them that you know the phone is configured correctly, tech support hasn't helped, you cant even get sms, and can they reset your web and mms. You could also go to go to a store and get the rep into the settings by ##PROGRAM and work with him/her if necessary. They are real cool around here but IDK. I assume your droid esn is active on cricket as a Motorola QA4 device?
 
Thanks guys to those who helped me. I really appreciate it. And everyone else one here, you guys are awesome. I have the 3g symbole now and for some reason i am not getting any web yet. Im not sure whats going on wrong. Im using prl 6499. I have the 3g icon. and i followed the instructions when SyZtyM said to type In windows cmd:
cd c:\andriod\tools
adb shell
ping wap.mycricket.com and post results and my reslults whre the same as tpking1. I made sure that i have u2nl is in the file its suppose to be but syZtyM said using root explorer to check if u2nl is in ther right folder. Im not sure how to get to root explorer but i double checked in u2nl file in your this folder c:/android/tools
from the instructions on page one and its in the right folder. Im not sure if thats the same way to check. Im so lost now. I called cricket like 12 times today, told them that i wanna reset my prl becaue i was out of town, i told them i need my account refreshed, i told them i need my internet provisioned, and im so lost they say they did it all. Could some one please have some advice for me to do whats next. I read that when you right your nv its 12 items , but when i went to cdma wrkshop 3.5 and i loaded the nv file in page one instructions and it told me 5 items where written. Did i do something wrong, would that effect it. Again i hate to keep asking questions, im trying to read read and read..but im not finding my answer . Thanks guys.
 
haha. I tried to call again, and the tech support person told me i see that you have called many times today, We do not guarntee flashed phones.blah blah blah. A close friend of mines told me that some times customer service wont refresh your settings,,, i dunt know why. But that friend told me that if it pops up a screen saying add 5 dollars to access the internet,,and your paying for the internet then all you need is an account, web , mms refresh, but if nothing comes up, then the phone isn't properly flashed, is that right.. or not nessisarily?

I pressed refresh just to see what happens, thought it might help or something and it said refreshh error.
 
I got it working now. Thank you so much sweet heart. and all of you on howards forum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You guys are unbelievably smart. Hmmm..what would the rest oof the world do with out you guys. (VERY BIG SMILE)
 
When you go to youtube and and click on a video. then it tells me that web page is not avalible. WHen i try to go and look at a video on another site. it acts as if its loading, and well..hmm..ten minites later..its still loading. I have the 3g symbol and super fast web browsing on my droid. Just dont have a clue why my videos wont play.
 
has anyone experienced the internet not working after flashing your phone. I flashed my phone yesterday. and the net isn't working today. any suggestions. Sorry i keep asking questions guys.
 
Thanks SO Much sWEEt heart. I pushed the proxys and got it to work.
But still no youtube.

It says web page not avalible im not sure why its not working.
You said "youtube should work if it's not set to play HD videos by default " im not sure what you mean by that. So since youtube is not working then HD videos are set to play by default. How do i not set HD videos to play by default so i can have you tube working and other videos working on here.
