Motorola Droid Full Solution Updated

I did a search and didn't see any information on this. I upgraded to Froyo and got everything working but when I type in iptables in shell I get this:

Code:
iptables
getsockopt for multiport failed strangely: No such file or directory
getsockopt for multiport failed strangely: No such file or directory
iptables v1.3.7: no command specified
Try `iptables -h' or 'iptables --help' for more information.

Note that this doesn't seem to affect functionality as 3G and MMS work fine I'm just curious if anyone else has seen this issue before.

Baseband Version: C_01.43.01P
Kernel Version: 2.6.32.9 pierce@MyDroidWorld #212
Build Number: FRF84B

I'm also going to contact MDW since they're the ones who released this Froyo update and kernel.

I'm not trying to do anything, at the time I was just testing iptables to make sure I had it before I bothered setting up autostart and u2nl but with android 2.1 I didn't get the getsockopt errors and I wasn't sure if I should be concerned about those errors or if I should just ignore them.

Android 2.2 includes usb and wifi tether. I would assume both run through iptables, just like our autostart script. Our autostart script clears out anything in iptables before it sets up the Cricket proxy. Maybe it clears out the usb and wifi tether info as well. Can someone test iptables on a 2.2 device that has not had u2nl, autostart, and autostart.sh installed? Either way, just ignore the error as its not causing wap to not work.

Yo i think i might have came up on something, i just happend to read the last few comments here, i just switched to BBeast v .04 from simply stunning froyo.....i wiped/cache etc.. went to my backupapps and installed autostart.apk. And bam! i have internet etc.

i may be a special cash though, i just recently moved 4days ago from a cricket area to Metro Pcs area, so the past 4days i never got 3g. Right now im guessing im bouncing off of Metro towers picking up 1x data etc. its just weird because i didnt have to set up any cricket settings, i just randomly started the process of installing autostart so im wondering if i even needed it.(pauses uninstalls autostart, goes to Maps searches for Mcdonalds, BAM! found it) so i guess i dont need autostart. So what should i do to get Metro 3g?? dumb idea would be to change my prl to a metro one, of course that in theory shouldnt work.

Hope this helps those who wanna try for cricket, im not sure why my cricket phone is picking up data out of my area PERIOD, but im sure someone will figure out why i only needed to flash a new rom for 1x

IIRC, the reason for clearing it was so that u2nl could run as a service only when wifi was off. That way WiFi tether could clear u2nl rules, and once wifi was off, u2nl could add its own rules back. Maybe it is time to remove those iptables clearing rules since -o ppp0 fixes wifi use anyway and it isn't running as a service either.

I don't know a lot about Cricket or Metro, or if they have roaming agreements with each other, but I think there are also roaming agreements with Sprint which does not require a proxy.

Did you do ##PROGRAM and re-enter your MIN, MDN, and SID?
Changing basebands will wipe out all your NV items. You will need to reprogram.

Hello guys. Ok. I have been holding out on asking a question, because i know im probably going to get answer like read. I have been reading for a week now, and I have over come lots of problems i had. Wherther its my wifi stoped working, or i couldn't find out how to by cdma workshop 3.5. Well i've over came all my problems, bought cdma workshop. And i came down to the last step where you go to command prompt and i am so lost. Im suppose to enter cd c:\android\tools (then i enter)
adb remount

and it says
* daemon not running. starting it now *
ADB server didn't ACK
* failed to start daemon *
error: cannot connect to daemon

I rooted the phone..yes i have the ninja. I did the whole loading the prl's. I mounted the rom.. i didn't everything..and its still not working. Please someone could asist me. I've spent the whole week trying to figure this out with out asking a question and im just lost now. Last night i tryed it untill i went to sleep at 5am trying to do this. THANKS SO much guys.

These are the only things I can think of to check.

1. Is USB Debugging checked on the phone in Menu > Settings > Applications > Development?
2. Do you have the ADB drivers installed?
3. Is the SDK folder named android and in c:\android\?
4. Check to see if there is more than one instance of ADB.exe running in task manager and kill them all, then try again.

I dont mean to bother you fellas. I know im just a lil slow blond,,but i just checked and the usb debugging is checked, the sdk folder is named android. In the instructions i didn't see..or i may have missed whre it says anything about adb driver having to be downloaded. Where would i get that from please, I downloaded the droid moto driver though....i know its prolly not the same thing.
