If you get it working, please consider making a guide for the Alltel forum. I have been getting PMs from people wanting to use the droid on Alltel so I am sure that a guide would be appreciated.
I had my droid flashed by a friend from oregon and he didn't finish it. Now the phone has 2.1-update1. I tried to connect it to cdma but doesn't work. Lan status is error. I installed the motorola driver, hwvsp3 and etc but still error. can somebody help me?
Thank you in advance.
If you mean the 3G icon keeps disappearing then you can just type ##7764726 into the phone dialer and scroll down to data call settings and make sure data call enabled is checked.
Ah, okay, that sounds like an iptables/u2nl issue. If you have an app or a way to view processes that would tell you if u2nl is running, also you could try manually running autostart.sh and see if any errors show up.
Correct. If your data stops, just run autostart.sh with Root Explorer. This, I believe, is a side effect of the script killing autostart app. But between battery life or occasionally having to manually run autostart.sh, I will take it anyday.
so I did the anycut shortcut to turn off 3G and that was working but it kept turning on when I stopped using wifi.
I flashed back to the stock Verizon .ebf to get back the NV items, I re-rooted and flashed it, PRL only. It kept telling me to make collect calls and then I realized that it took off my MDN and MIN. The problem is I don't remember my MIN. I tried a nandroid backup to see if it would save it but that's only the system part of things.
Is there any other way I can get it?
To get your MIN you'll have to contact your provider and ask. As far as the 3G turning on when WiFi is toggled off that's just a quirk of the OS. The Android OS gives priority to WiFi connections over 3G and it doesn't seem that Data Call is getting enabled when WiFi is toggled on, but it seems to me that the OS assumes that you want 3G on all the time. If it didn't drain the battery we could leave it on all the time.
