I just updated the script on my site.

Make sure you set up mobile+simple ip, and not simple ip in cdma ws.

So what's the advantage of using the new autostart?

Hopefully we will come up with one that kills the autostart app after everything is set up so the battery will last longer.

If you want to help test out scripts that might do this, please look in this thread.

Well it looks like a solution has already been found. If you want your battery to last longer, check out that very short thread I mentioned in the post above and try scripts 5 and 6 and report success or failure.

Once a few more people confirm that it works I will change the scripts in my u2nl.zip.

EDIT: It's hard finding volunteers on a Saturday night. shumdez says my last try on it works, so I updated the autostart.sh in my u2nl.zip. Anyone who wants to try it out can find it there.

I don't use the autostart apk, and just start manually. Should I not even bother updating the autostart.sh I'm using now?

It won't help and it won't hurt, so I say don't waste your time unless you think autostart might be useful now that it won't be trashing your battery.
