Motorola Droid Charges

Basically, your answer has been answered accurately in this thread.

Also, keep in mind if you're an existing customer not eligible for upgrade...it's actually going to be $560 and won't have any rebates.

$30 data plan + standard voice plan required.

When you pick your plans on the website its very confusing.
The $99 plan includes:
450 minutes
unlimited text
unlimited data
Yet it tacks on an additional 29.99 for "data for smartphones" WTF? i thought the 99 includes unlimtied data

but ...
If you select the nationwide select and add on the unlimited data in additional features you get $104 for
450 mintues
unlimited text
unlimtited data

The iphone with the same plan costs only $90 a month

Verizon WTF is going on here
i definitly don't want to pay $130 a month for the damn droid. $99 is my limit for cell phone budget. If this is true i may switch to att and i've been with verizon for 8 years

EDIT:
This is an error the 29.99 should not be on there when you pick a PDA/smartphone plan. Sometimes it adds and sometimes it doesn't make sure its not on there when you checkout

It wouldn't matter anyway.

The online "checkout system" is dumb, but the actual Verizon system is not. Whenever it notices you have a duplicate feature on there, you'll immediately see it drop off under MyVerizon within 24 hours and you will not ever see a charge for the duplicate feature.

It's just an error in the checkout system...RELAX.

If you're that concerned with it, do the transaction over the phone or in the store.
