Motorola Devour Picture Messaging ?

so i got this new phone the motorola devour. and i flashed it to cricket and when i try to send a picture it says "national Coverage Area not available" something like that. but i can always receive pictures ? i was wondering if theres this thing i have to text or call to activate ? please help
