Hi hows everyone doing today? I have a few questions if you could answer for me I would appreciate it. So I really want to get my motorcycle license and I'm gonna go for my permit test tomorrow. I'm 17 years old and live in NYC. So I was wondering if there's anyway I could get a full motorcycle license when I'm 17 cause I don't turn 18 till December 22 2009 and I really want to ride this summer so badly. I already now how to ride well I rode dirt bikes and quads. So I would like to now if I sign up for the MSF classes can I get my full license after I pass the test. Cause for cars if you go to drivers ed I now you could get your full license at 17 I was wondering if there was something like that for bikes. Thank you for your time.
see i want my full license by 17 so i dont need anyone with a full license to ride within 1/4th of a mile cause i dont now any one whos 21 and that has a motorcycle license

yes in iowa idk about NYC probly same my friend got his at age 17 but yes he had to take a class for it if you just get your permitt you have to have someone with a full motorcycle license on the bike with you or in yelling distance on another bike

....... as far as i know, getting a motorcycle permit is just walking in, signing, and walking out. there is no test for the permit... and it lasts 3-4 months. most people who ride just get permits, since they only ride 3-6 months a year.

I'm not sure what you mean by full license.. Unless you mean graduated license.
Your motorcycle license is just an endorsement on your license. If you have you full driver's license and get your motorcycle endorsement, you should have a graduated motorcycle license..

www.msf-usa.com I'd find the class nearest you and call the number and ask them. You could try calling the dmv as well, but i imagine the msf instructors will know just the same.

BTW, even if the MSF course doesn't do any good as far as getting the license status you want, it's still a good idea to take it. It'll usually get you a discount on your insurance, not to mention teach you how to keep your ass from getting run over by an idiot on a cell phone.
