MotoQ PRL not staying

I just finished flashing my second Verizon Q using RSD. The second one was really touchy. It was brand new that day just from the Verizon story. Everything works on it at this time WAP MMS.

My question is after a couple of hours it seems to loose the 1040 PRL and revert back to a Verizon one or something??? Everything still works *228 programs fine, calls, text, MSS, WAP, but when you go to setting and view the phone details or pull it up on RSD it has reverted back to something other than 1040. (It like 5116/04 if I remeraber right) It still has it's ESN active on Verizon as well as Cricket. Could that be the problem??

Any thoughts.

Also the first Q I flashed 5 days ago had full working web. No proxies or what not. I could browse any where on it. The second one I set up could only go to the http://wap.cricket.motricity.com. I shut of service on the first flash so I can't test if it's working anymore. Any ideas??

If you have roaming the PRL is 5044 or 7433. Verizon PRLS are 5 digits that I've noticed. Crickets are 4. If calls are working, then it can't be using a Verizon PRL.

Makes since he does have travel time with the roaming minutes. So he should be fine. Good I was really starting to worry. Plus I had no idea that there were any other PRLs other than the 1040.

He said he has the 60 dollar plan.. I kept wondering the same thing I asked him are you sure you have web access. He said he does. Should I have him call CS and say anything?

The first phone I flashed was on the 30 dollar plan with the web added to make it 35 total and everything worked awesome. Hotmail, Google, Yahoo by just typing in the address bar

Can you get to the portal? If you can navigate around it. One of the links will tell you that you need to subscribe the web, and give you a button to click to do so. Thats how I get web on flashed phones, when CS tells my customer they can't do it.

I was flipping around to different stories and headlines in the portal, but never got prompted to subscribe for the 5 dollars on that Q. I was waiting to see if I could get it because I would know then that it didn't have web, but never did. Still couldn

Okay web is working it was down in the area. Did you know that the Cricket web is really piggy backed off of Sprint.

There is also a reg setting that limits your speed. This can be changed and it seems to increase you download upload speeRAB. I'll post it later once I find it again.

See, this is how rumors start. Sprint has far more business than just their wireless business. They're an IXC, and an internet backbone provider as well. It's likely the conversation went something like this...

Tech to Sales Manager: There was a network outage of a Sprint data RAB3 which caused us to lose connectivity in the area with the PRABN and MMS servers.

Sales Manager to Sales Person: The WAP, Brew, and MMS outage was caused by a Sprint outage.

Sales Person to Customer: Clix and Picture messaging weren't working because Sprint's network wasn't working.

Customer to Friend: Cricket uses Sprint's network.

Don't believe the hype.
