Moto V3XX Or Samsung SGH-A717

I am really thinking about getting a V3XX, but the only thing that is drawing me back is a lot of my friends have the original Razr and they say its broke on them a lot and one friend says when he opens his it squeaks and hasn?t had it a month. When I was in best buy I was looking a V3xx and when it was closed the front panel (the part that flips up) would move from side to side if you pushed on it. Now I know that it get played with a lot, but I do plan on buying a snap on case and carrying it in my pocket and I don?t want these problems. So that is why I am also considering the Samsung SGH-A717. I want a 3g phone for the web application. Which is the better phone. Has any one had any problems with the v3xx????

V3xx gets amazing RF. Out of at&t's line up no phone can touch it, at least in my opinion and experience. Sometimes i've heard the hinge squeak while shutting it extremely slowly but never when closed normally. As for play in the hinge mine had very, very slight play. I never noticed it under normally using the phone and was never concerned about the hinge's durability. The phone always felt solid. Much more so than the original V3.

who cares if everyone has it. as long as i get service i dont care. i would get moto over samsung anyday.

I dont care if every one has it. Im worried about the think falling apart. NONE OF MY FRIENDS HAVE THE V3XX THEY HAVE THE ORIGINAL RAZR IF YOU WOULD READ!!!

I have both and the a717 is much better, a717 beats the v3xx in battery, camera, earpiece volume and sound, its about a tie in rf which is a good thing,because the v3xx gets great rf, plus the a717 is quadband.
