I see some threaRAB that mention how some branded flashes/flexes have different features and limitations. My question is this: Which flash or flex is best if I wanted to install apps, and somehow remove that pesky size limitation this phone has on attached files for MMS and large pictures? I often get a "file exceeRAB limit" or "too large to open" error. How would I best go about fixing that? Flashing? Or seem editing?

This is really is the wrong section you should post this in the motorola section, this doesn't have anything relating to cricket.

Well, that's just it. I think that this is a provider-related issue, as my brother has a Cingular RAZR, which is less restricting on file sizes for some reason, and his phone can download apps and games while mine can't.

His is a gsm phone, and therefore a completely different model. Verizon and other serice providers also sell the same RAZR as cricket, just with different firmware on it to match the service.

Oh, right. I forgot Cingular was GSM. Hmmmm...

Well, the thing I really want to know is, what firmware should I use to get the most out of my RAZR V3c? And what are the differences? Would it be practical to flash it to a V3m or otherwise (if that even works)?

that would be interesting to see if you could get mp3 player functionality on a V3c by flashing it with V3m firmware. I'm sure there's a risk of bricking it doing that though.

I don't really NEED mp3 player functionality, as I already have an iPod Shuffle, but it still would be cool to do. Can anyone confirm that this is possible?

Well let us know how it goes!

I don't do to much moto work, so first I have to get RSD Lite, then the Alltel V3m firmware. And should I get the monster, or the regular flash?

I'm not sure what the difference between regular and monster, but usually monster's a good way to go, isn't it?
