Well i just had to get it.....the moto q is in the mail and coming brand new to me : )

It seems very identical to the xv6700 on how its setup....the very first thing iam going to do it put in my mini sd with the prl file and see if i can update the prl without connecting it to a computer....should be easy

if not, qpst im on way ! lol

any questions, comments or ideas to flash it ?

You can't say what program you use? I understand not being able to post a link, but not being able to say is a little extreme.

There has to be a way to manually load the PRL onto any CDMA phone in case it gets corrupted and the phone is unable to OTASP. The program might not be in the wild, but there has to be a way to do it.

PROTECTED? what are they endangered? If I purchase a phone at full retail it's my perogative to do what I wish with the phone. On the other had Black Cat runs a business and protecting his livley hood is understandable

As for loading PRLs manually, why does there need to be a way? Verizon has software that will do it (as should the carriers selling the device) and of course Motorola has the means to do it as do service centers.

You can call it BS, but since I do not mod these phones as part of my business and therefore do not stand to make nothing from doing this, why should I BS?

I am a newbee and am trying to convert my phones to Cricket, any help would be greatly appreciated.i was offered a job at a cell phone store, but only if i could learn how to flash phones into cricket phones. II cant seem to find good directions on how to do it. i would really appreciate it if you could send me instructions on how to flash phones and tell me any equitment needed to do so. I dont really konw anything about flashing phone so the more u could explain it the better.

P.S. my email is [email protected]

THE motorola Q cannot be flashed ! I have called all over the country and only have talked to about 2 people that have done it. They used a box and the phone had the old firmware on it. Since mine was brand new i had the latest firmware.....

only thing i can think of is changing the moto q to the oldest firmware they have for it, then trying to flash using motorola pst. The moto q will not read through qpst beacuse it isnt a typical p2k device and doesn have a QUALCOMM chip inside of it.

But anyways, i didnt really like the phone and traded for a much better treo 700w that i love now

I am looking for this info for a different reason - my Sprint PRL defines USCC as higher priority than VZW. USCC coverage sucks here but VZW is great, and I have modified a PRL that I now want to load to increase my coverage while roaming inside my house.

I have searched and searched and cannot find what software is used to flash a PRL file, or a procedure for manually loading a PRL file that exists on the devices storage. If you could kindly link me to the search result I was not able to locate on my own I would very much appreciate it...

moto Qs can be flashed. You have to have a reliable person to send it to who knows what they're doing. I have such a person, Mr. Candid knows this. I just work for his boss' competition. Nothing personal C.S. we did speak on the phone a few weeks ago about this. I called my guy after Mr.Candid called me and confirmed that he can do it.

its real...... that guy is really a computer nerd and he is the one who made me the drivers for the Ocean...... I personally seen the phone and i believe he did it

he bough it for 25$.... can you believe it??
