Talked to my local dealer again, the motorola q is coming to cricket very very soon....maybe a month or so

Also had that chance to play with the krzr cricket phone...very nice
gunmetal color/ silver it sells for $349.00 which is pretty expensive

Also he said that the q might actualy run for 400 dollars ! I nearly died, thats a ton of money for a phone on cricket service i said....it will have internet capabilities though....

will keep everyone updated when i get more info...

Does this mean I can get an XV6700 On cricket and have full web? I want to be able to stream music with by Stereo BT Headphones, and I won't take the plunge until I can get full web.

I wish someone would trade me my Drift, 1GB Sd card, and 3batteries for an XV6700.

I don't care what kind of new phones come out as long as they get something with a QWERTY keyboard, etc MoTo Q has this. Otherwise all that web stuff, IM, TEXT is a pain and so is trying to send email.

As I understand it, WinMo 5.0, with software upgrades as necessary.

I'm pretty dang impressed if Cricket really is getting this phone. Since this is a windows OS, game console emulating software can be loaded into it. :clapping:

...not to mention the more practical uses. :D

Been reading the specs on Moto's site. It doesn't appear to have a touch-sensitive screen. Damn!

I want handwriting recognition and a retractable keypad: The UTStarcom PPC6600 to me has the perfect form factor, minus the gawky antenna. And yes, I DO want Rome! :D

Tempting as it might be, I think I'll pass on the Moto Q for now...

:reallysad

I agree, but at least one of those models should have a retractable/foldable keypad: I, for one, don't want to hold a flat brick to the side of my face.

But hopefully, a Cricket-native Moto Q would open Pandora's box on the whole Cricket WAP conundrum. In that case, I'd give my left arm for a UTStarcom PPC 6700.

I actually had a Q at one point which I as trying to reflash to work with cricket. I too liked its size and features but didnt like the idea of a jog wheel instead of a touchscreen. After many attempts I returned the phone and picked up the 6700... Glad I did :2thurabs:

Yeah, I can see your point. Just wish I knew if/when Cricket plans to release more SmartPhones/PPCs. I really need to ditch this remix, and the 6265i was an obvious choice until this hooplah started. :) It's doubtful I can convince the wife to allow me to purchase more than one phone this year... and the last thing I want is another case of "buyer's remorse".

Does anyone know anything else about the rumor that Cricket's going to add 15+ phones to their miniscule lineup this year?

i got to say this The Q really suck. Sorry if i jump over you guys but it really does. What kind of smart phone or PDA with out touch screen. Why do they make the screen so big and not having touch screen. More over the price is a jack a.s.s. damn. and Mr Candid i saw your fn coming soon phone lg chocolate, a900 and krazor. Well give you some addvice heheh i don't know if you want it but, unless you get the lg chocolate for free then it ok but dont buy it. A900 is ok one think i do'nt like it is from sprint which never work well with cricket because mostly it runing java. Krazor is good to go but dont get one from sprint altel phone is the best for converting to cricket.

the phones will be coming to cricket and will be cricket branded. they will not be flashed phones, so the revelance to how they work after being flashed from one carrier or another is not the issue. also, please try to make sense when you post. you sound like an uneducated twit.

who said about branded or not branded

and sorry for sound like "uneducated" my parent are poor so they dont have enought money to paid for my education so i have to learn on my own beside i did learn a second language "thank you" for your point Mr educate man. :clapping:

i'm with you jammis. There are a lot of people here are very smart and very helpful. I learned alot from forum to forum and help any one if i can because they help me a lot. And also many of people are very "educated" and "un-educated" like me yeh :clapping:

i think that we all should be happy that cricket is getting newer phones...especially the motorola q. I have toyed with the verizon version and while i somewhat agree that it would be better with a touchscreen its ok that it doesnt...it wont please everybody but im patiently waiting for its release :D

so, i am just curious about this forum, i talked to the upper chain of command and they knew nothing of the "Q" nor is there anything on sharepoint about it, i want to believe this is happening but i want to see some proof

I say forget it!

Apple has introduced its new iPhone, and it is a Cingular/ATT device. It as all the features I want in an all-in-one device and then some.

I will keep my Cricket phone and service, but there's no way I'm investing in an inferior product: My money will follow toward supporting innovation.
