my husband and i recently got married in June and have been living with his parents since before we got married we just had our first baby (daughter) last Monday 12/06/10 yes we are young he is 21 and i am 18 my mother in law is driving me crazy though she is always trying to give me advice that i dont ask for and dont want and she is constantly telling me how she raised her kids its nice that she tries to give advice but i want to raise my daughter differently than she raised her kids shes always saying how it takes a village to raise a child which i dont agree with i think the mother and father should be the ones raising the child not everyone in the house and a few hours ago she was telling my husband how he should be doing more to look for a job he is in the army but he has been trying as hard as he can to look for a civilian job and she called my daughter her baby my husband corrected her with "shes our baby" talking about me and him but she replied with "I make the most money in this house so everything belongs to me" i had to really bite my tongue but luckily my husband said "she is my daughter" my mother in law then said "i know shes your daughter" i really dont know how to handle this next time it happens which is pretty much everyday please HELP!!!!!
