First off, thats possibly the worst way of choosing a martial art. Forget EVERYTHING that you've learned from the movies, because it really is not anything at all like it is in the movies. They're all highly choreographed moves. Nothing more then dancing, with punches. It's best you flush it all out
Second, you should pick a martial art that suits to you're qualities and what you want out of martial arts. Do you want to look fancy like they do in the movies. Take Wushu. Do you want to cultivate your mind, and become a better person? Pick up some traditional styles, like Kendo. Do you want to learn how to properly defend yourself and learn how to hold out in a fight, then take MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) Its called mixed martial arts because you are learning 2-3 martial arts at once, that cover 2-3 areas of fighting, and that is stand up, clinch, and ground fighting. The most common styles chosen in MMA are Muay Thai for stand up, Judo for clinch, and then Jujutsu for ground game, either Brazilian or Japanese.
Good luck
