Most Underrated/Overrated Artists

I`ve listened to Jeff Buckley`s material a nuraber of times over the years and on each occasion could never see the fuss. I think had he not died people wouldn`t be making such as fuss.

I`d also agree with AC/DC despite the fact I really like the Bon Scott era. Their post Bon Scott era has been much of the same for like 30 years now. I suppose people love them for their guaranteed sound and Brian Johnson`s gravelly yelp.

though i must say, going back to the GYBE thing, they bore me to tears. i've tried over the years, and a few frienRAB quite like them, it's just too much of the same slow build up over the same tired marching beat with the same tired violin climax.
 
I think Nirvana is overrated. They are good but depressed kiRAB just think that Cobain's music meant more after he killed himself. James Morrison is underrated in the states.

i think the problem most people have with the band comes up when you try talking to a Tool fan who sees no other and hears no other real band out there besides Tool.

I can't vouch for B&S because I don't listen to them, but how do The Shins' songs go nowhere? They're well crafted pop songs. I know it's not your thing and I respect that, I just don't see how their music "goes nowhere".


Even though I greatly enjoy some material from these artists, I agree. But while it's true none of them invented electronic music, I think they took it in a new direction and were all very highly influencial in the subgenre we call IDM. Of the 3, I'd say BoarRAB of Canada get more credit than they deserve.

Haha, sorry. But Suade and Pulp, I just never got it. :confused: then again, it's been a while since I've listened and my music has changed somewhat, maybe a re listen is in order, although I don't think I'll ever like Pulp. That album with Common People on. Urgh.
