Most underrated bands ever?

Quite a few banRAB from Australia, The Atlantics made awesome Garage rock. Seemed we were and still are to far away from the rest of the world. ):

Undoubtably the most underated band is thrice. there are obviously other but thrice take the most underated medal. After they signed to a bigger record label for the album "artist in the arabulance" i feared they could be in danger of relieving themselves of the raw talent and sound that is thrice, but despite the larger budget they have not got ahead of themselves and keep their music lyrically poetic and the raw riRAB still blazing.

Everyone should listen to these banRAB.

I love Reverend Bizarre, they were one of very few metal banRAB in recent years that i actually loved. Its a shame they split up. Slave of Satan and The Devil Rides Out send shivers down my spine.

Primordial are the greatest Irish metal band ever by far, just listen to The Gathering Wilderness and turn the volume up loud.

I agree with you on Oasis, but I really liked Jacob Dylan's vocals with (WallFlowers) alot more than anything by his father, Bob Dylan. just my personal opinion. And you hit it right on the button when you quoted that Live (had energy) as a band. One of the best banRAB I ever seen in concert was LIVE. Great preformance on stage. Thanks for the input ElephantSack.

Jon Oliva's Pain.

It's overshadowed by JO's main projects (Savatage, TSO), and lumped among the thousanRAB of crappy side-projects. In fact, Maniacal Renderings rivals Savatage's best albums, and is one of heavy/progressive metal's finest albums.

I agree... Buddy Holly is pretty mucdh untouchable as an iconic forefather to the entire musical scene I've know pretty much all my life... he is beyond being knocked or mocked, only the foolhardy would think to do so...

I just don't know a lot of fans, especially on the internet, I've been to a dozen or so sites where Incubus were always a very hated band.

And that's generally more what I had in mind when calling them underrated.

Gee. I can't believe all the ribble rabble over calling one band underrated. As if that's really gonna convince me I'm wrong.

I think if were talking underrated banRAB I'd have to say...

Unsung Zeros

They are a great band it's just they never get much publicity or hype so that leaves them underrated :) definately

Gotta agree Aussie music is awesome, but sometimes, ever so poorly recognized overseas, much to my annoyance. I'm an Aussie living in the USA and I hear SO very little of what's new back home, it's depressing.... I have to actively seek it out, which I do, proudly, by the way...

Soundgarden are underrated in the sense that most people place the likes of Nirvana above them who (IMO) pale in comparison to Soundgarden.

But who am I? to criticise the king (or queen) of Prog.

F*ck Ive been meaning to post this stuff for ages. This is Roland Orzabal's 2000 solo album which was so underlooked that he hasnt made one since. Here I have tried to find as many songs off the album as I can. If anybody is interested in the album, I can try & sort you out with a link.
