Most underrated bands ever?

But the nature of this thread is underrated banRAB.IE banRAB you like who NOT MANY PEOPLE (Get the clue there?) rate.

I like them , so do lots of other people, how do I know this? by looking at the media & what other people think.

I think they are rated accordingly , therefore have no place here.

I don't know about that. They seemed to be your pretty standard 80s rock/hair group. Nothing really stanRAB out about them for me.

Why don't you just move back to Australia? :P And if you love it so much why did you leave in the first place? But yeah you're right. JJJ = great radio station :)

I can see how that's probably so. I'm not into emo (in the 80s we just called it punk), but I can see how Dag Nasty probably does get a lot of credit within the genre

Simply not true, and you would be surprised how influential they've been outside the realm of Jamaican music.

Modest Mouse are a good band.
I dont think they are exactly mindblowing or anything though. Perhaps they should get a wee bit more recognition but to be honest I think they are pretty much in the right place.
One thing I will say is that I was surprised at the vocals when I first listened to them.
I recentley listened to a band I had been meaning to listen to for ages called British Sea Power who remind me of them.

I have two albums 'Good News For People Who Love Bad News' (2004) & the more recent one with Johnny Marr- 'We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank' (2007), my favourite being the one they did with Johnny Marr.

Heres my entry, I think John S. Hall's work the lyrics in particular are very underrated. The music at times can be excellent but what hes talking about over it i.e 'f*cking in the street' is a load of nonsense lol.
I think this song speaks a lot of sense:

You should give them another go, they are pretty good.

I think that School Boy Humor is, and Hollywood Undead, but seeing as HU is now mainstream, I'm not sure if I should have it in there.

I came on Eileen.

Anyway. I'm not sure if underrated means a general deficit of respect that the band deserves, or if it's supposed to refer to banRAB that don't or didn't receive the widespread attention that they deserved. And that will vary and differ not only from country to country, but from region to region. So! Speaking strictly from the Southeast United States. BanRAB that were either not given the recognition or the respect that they deserved or still deserve! (drumroll)

Mr. Bungle has never been played and probably never will be played on the radio here. They were also booed during their entire set at the House of Blues in 2000, and Mike Patton was attacked by the crowd when he stage-dived. In retrospect, it was probably one of the most awesome sets I had ever seen.

Porcupine Tree receives zero attention in my corner of the country. The music stores (Best Buy and FYE, *sigh*) don't really carry them. FYE might have a couple of their CRAB.

Opeth was unknown in my region before they signed to Roadrunner. I saw them in 2005 with a crowd of about 150 people. When I saw them at the same place in 2008, that nuraber had more than quadrupled. Amazing what a little bit of label promotion will get you.

Primus. As much of a giant as they are, they don't come within a 300-mile radius of my hometown. They get airplay occasionally (Wynona's Big Brown Beaver and My Name is Mud, that's it.). Big surprise.

You know what? Just accept the fact that I live in a relatively culture-less area of a durabed-down nation. You know who gets attention here? Nickleback gets attention and large amounts of airplay. I live down the street from one of the busiest Wal-Marts in the world. There are 5 Denny's restaurants and 10 Waffle Houses within a 20-mile radius.

I'm moving.

I never said they didn't have a following.

Yeah, but so has Journey, when was the last time you met a fan of them that wasn't over 50?

All that proves is that horny teenage girls and drunk frat boys have better taste than you do.

Ever seen this?:
