Most underrated bands ever?

Really? Well the live album is my favourite. The minute it enRAB and the studio stuff starts playing all the energy seems to diminish a bit and it kind of gets turned down a notch or two (if you know what I mean).

If I had to pick a studio album it would be Living In Between (2003).
 
within the indie community they're probably one of the biggest banRAB in existence. especially for post-hardcore. do they or did they ever get significant exposure in the mainstream? probably not. but they certainly aren't underrated.
 
I would have to say the Sex Pistols because everyone seems to write them off as publicty seeking idiots who couldn't play their instruments.

Another band that was never as big as it should of been (IMO) is the Sultans of Ping FC they are Fantastic!!
 
Let's stop giving people sh*t for thinking a popular band is underrated.

"Underrated" is when a band doesn't get as much credit as you think they deserve, so with that in mind I can use the term to describe any damn band I want, I could call The Beatles underrated and you can't tell me I'm wrong.
 
Derek Trucks Band would be the most underrated I can think of. Their music is amazing yet most of the people I know have never heard of them.
 
This is not the most original song released over the last few years yet they are British, employ a similar asthetic regarding Electronica to Radiohead. There are only two in the band yet this passed everyone by because British music has to be all about Radiohead. Shocking. This track is as good as anything Radiohead has put out and yes I stand by that.

Ok, obviously you watch more TV than I do. All I'm saying is, considering how bigger music artists get the attention they get when they have new music, N*E*R*D* is overlooked in that bunch. And yes, I got the pun.
 
RUSH!

One of the best progressive rock groups that is superb live - gets a lot of play on the 'oldies' rock stations, but not much mainstream...

If you like them whatever, they are terrible though

blackhole sun is the most overrated piece of crap ever created. Prove me wrong
