Most Under rated Movies Ever

Pearl Harbour
Pleasantville
Single White Female (especially this one, best Thriller I have ever seen)
Thirteen
Airplane! (I know lots of people like it but I think it's the best Comedy movie ever)
Transamerica
Vera Drake
Phone Booth
BeetleJuice (my favourite movie of all time)

Loved Galaxy Quest

As mentioned already, I too thought Gattaca a great film (some great ideas that fitted well and a 'who dunnit' - perfect! I am also purprised this does not get mentioned more.

Also loved The Name of the Rose - was that greated well by critics at the time?

Another vote for 'The 13th Warrior' - probably the only film I can watch with Antonio Banderos in (apart from the Zorros!) - really liked it and always watch it when it comes on tv

The Abyss - within my top 20 movies of all time - something I really like about that film - probably because I am an Ed Harris fan!

This next one should probably be in the guilty pleasures thread - Bulletproof Monk! - yes I know it has Stiffler, and the most over the top nazi, Indiana Jones stereotypes - never stops me watching it, much to the amusement of Mr H! :)

For Your Eyes Only, I always thought it was Roger Moore's finest bond, and film, I love 80's films too. The Man who Haunted Himself was good too.

Bringing Down the House, I was in stitches when I saw that film, gave me a good fit of hysterics despite the bad reviews.

Tommy, I liked that film, it was nice, even though It was very camp and slightly annoying.

Monty Python's Meaning of Life, I always thought that was a very funny film, I prefer it to the Holy Grail. :p

Falling Down, I do like that film...

Those Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines: or how I flew from London to Paris in 25 hours 11 minutes.

Clockwise, one of my favourite comedies, I really love that film. Cleese at his best. ;)

Not compared to the book... Then again, you should never judge a film by its book, apparently.

My underrated/under the radar film is The Secretary.
