Most shocking ending

Hehe!! I'll never forget when that film came out. I was working part time in a factory - which a load of women - when Titantic was huge, and all of the women where all mussy for Leonardo diCaprio.."oh isnt he lovely" etc... - but as the only male - i would take the p i s s when they talked that way. but one day - this one woman was saying - "im gonna watch Titantic this Friday" - so i sad "why would you want to see that, we all know the ship sinks in the end"

She turned around and shouted back at me - "how dare you tell me the ending!" - and was being serious!!!!

I wet my pants laughing!!! :D

Oh don't be so touchy and take things so personal. Yes I missed the joke  care to tell me what it was again?
and I will say it again "Blair Witch was crap!" as if I don't have to remind you.
And many people would agree with me.

So can you tell me the meaning of the man at the end of the film? Who was he? What was he there for? Why was he facing the wall?

yeah I like that ending.

Se7en also had a good ending. Not shocking I guess, as it was obvious what was in the box. But the tension was great.

I think there was a thread on this a few months ago...

To me there is only one contender - On Her Majesty's Secret Service. Totally unthinkable nowadays for any action film, let alone a Bond...

I think I can remember this...

The man facing the wall is the guy Heather is screaming for (Josh?). Earlier we learned that the witch kills people in pairs - makes one face the wall before killing the other. So when we see Josh facing the wall....

Loved the film meself. Don't like horror at all, but the acting was brilliantly natural and, like the first Alien film, we saw nothing but everything was in the imagination which is far scarier. Shot on video on an ultra-low budget, a true one of a kind...

Well untill November anyway :D

I was really shocked by the end of Layer Cake, really didn't see it coming. I saw the original Get Carter after LC so I'm guessing that's where they got the idea.

Pirates of the Carribean 2 ....having to wait for part 3 to find out what happens next. In my opinion every film produced should be self contained. Maybe make reference to other episodes.

The ending of the original "The Wicker Man" was stunning.

Also loved the Donald Sutherland "Invasion Of The Body Snatchers".

One last one to mention... "Empire Strikes Back".

Not sure if anyone has listed it already, but the ending to 'Looking for Mr Goodbar' with Diane Keaton is pretty disturbing. It's a bit dated by today's standarRAB and effects, but still chilling

'Wolf Creek' is pretty disturbing all the way through too, especially since it's supposed to be based on a true story (as was my above post). 'The Machinist' is also pretty unguessable.

HUH! At least you had the choice!! I really wanted to see that and my daughter + boyfriend went to see it and then clubbing... i was still up when she arrived home...
'how was the film?' I eagerly asked...
'oh, it was crap' she said and then straight away told me the 'twist'!!
AaaGHHH!

Just asked my husband, and he reminded me straight away by naming..
Primal Fear ... starring Ed Norton & Richard Gere..
which reminRAB me...
Fight Club ... Ed Norton (again!) and Brad Pitt

If you like a good twist in a film, this is a great thread!!
